Day turn out to be great, clouds are gone, ocean is smooth as a lake and sun is up on the sky shinning bright. Temp is 94° with high humidity and a lot of mosquitoes due to the rain.

Coming from the movies (War of Worlds) listen in the radio a public advisory for Cancun residents regarding tropical storm Denins, the weather guy told it could strike us on Thursday so I came back to check the most accurate site for tropical storms: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/ funny thing is that I could not find Yucatan neither South of Mexico in the offical warning and strike probabilities.
Looks like Dennis will become a hurricane sometime this afternoon, but right now, it appears as though Dennis will stay North and East of Cancun. Could mean a period of rain Friday night into early Saturday, but that's about it. More updates to come, and in the meantime, check out www.nhc.noaa.gov per Ana's recommendation. It really is the best out there!

Good news is that it's going to clip the Northern Coast of Jamaica. Winds won't be as intense on that side of the storm. If it were to strike the southern coast of Jamaica, there would be castastrophic consequences. The poor folks in the Cayman Islands might not be so lucky.
weather today is beautiful, clear blue sky, brilliant sun giving tons of heat with high humidity factor due to the past rains. Ocean is in calm and showing all its colors. The sunsent at this time in the lagoon is awsome.
Hurricane Dennis I heard this one may be heading for the Eastern part of the Golf of Mexico, not really a geopgraphy buff.... does that mean Cancun?
