I made the order under Lana Varian but don't worry about it. We're not going to miss $15.00. I know that we will be back next year, same time, and I will hook up with you then. Too bad about the weather. I expect by Wednesday, things will be getting back to normal and those traveling this week will have an awesome time. We are more laid back, like to lay by the pool all day and have dinner out somewhere nice on a patio or overlooking the lagoon or beach and that would be hard to do with all the overcast and rain. We'll be back next year. Thanks for the helpful weather reports and keep your fingers crossed that our trip to Cabo will be less volatile. Lana :D

Hi I was wondering if you could tell me what Cancun's weather forecast is for the upcoming week? I am going down from the 22nd to the 29th. I understand that there is a low pressure system there right now that is also affecting southern florida. Are they saying anything down there when and if this is going to pass? Thank you

Hi JJayne, I'm not a weather expert and I don't live in Cancun like Steve does but I can tell you that my husband and I cancelled our trip to Cancun this mornng due to the weather. Steve can give you a much better idea of how the weather is behaving in Cancun and when they are estimating that it will be gone. The weather reports we have heard are saying that it should be moving out by tomorrow so hopefully most of it will be gone by the time you get there. Maybe Steve will pop up with a recent report. Steve lives in Cancun and can give you a more accuarte description. You can also look at a live webcam of Cancun on cancunweatherforecast.com. Good luck.

Yes, Steve - that is correct. Those websites tend to overblow those chances too, just to cover their you know what's. :) Honestly, the chances of a shower there are never greater than 50%, usually less, and as Steve mentions, those showers do not usually last more than a few minutes, perhaps an hour at the most.

Trust me when I say that there is NO REASON you should cancel your trip because of the weather...That's just downright silly. The only way I would ever even consider doing so is if there's a major hurricane heading that way.

As these reports state ever so frequently, the weather is fantastic and sunny the vast majority of the time in Cancun, and those silly internet forecasts are just that, a joke!!!

I respect the "weatherdoods" opinion besides, that's what he gets paid for. I was trying to be as positive as I possibly could be regarding the weather in Cancun and I'm just going by the radar (which does not lie) and the live webcam at cancunweatherforecast.com. My husband and I have traveled all over the Caribbean and have had some pretty close calls with Hurricanes. That's why we don't take any chances. Plus, penalty waviers come in handy when there's some really bad weather lingering around and you have the flexability of changing your reservation. Anyway, looking at the radar on several websites, the bad weather appears to be moving through so you should be fine. As for me and my husband, maybe we won't be SO SILLY next year and find our way back to CANCUN!!

Coming back from a delicious dinner at Meson Del Vecindario and tasting a gruyere and camembert cheese fondue, mmmmm. Fat Tuesday look packed and teens are all over the place and the Av. trying to acess the club.

Rain start at 9 AM in the HZ until 1:00 PM where we see a little piece of sky and only for awhile because strong winds began to blow from the SE and clouds covered again all the sky.

Right now the sky looks almost clear with some little clouds passing quickly and the stars are shinning, temp is 81° and humidity as well as mosquitos are HIGH.

Can not see the ocean in the dark but is sounds slow and in a good rythm.

The sun is back! It's a little hazy and a few clouds about but there is approx 60% of blue sky.

Temp at 10:36am local time is 90.3F
