35C (95F) right now. Humid, hot and sunny. Rained a little yesterday but not for long.

You can always get an idea of current sky conditions on my webcam site at http://www.webcamcancun.com/

We've been to Cancun/Riviera Maya four times in July (our wedding anniv is in July). It is always hot then - in the 90s, the sun is BLAZING, and most days storm clouds build up over the land ... but you're on the beach, so it rarely rains. If the storm clouds build up close enough to the beach, they could block the sun, which honestly, in mid-afternoon is pretty welcome to get a break from it. And it will occasionally rain - either a passing shower or a thunderstorm - but those rains very rarely last more than a few minutes.

In our trip to Riviera Maya, we had one afternoon where we got chased in off the beach by a round of heavy showers - but the rain was so warm that we wound up out on our balcony (we had a secluded top-floor balcony at the side of the resort - Riu Palace), and wound up having channel 12 time in the rain outdoors. Spectacular. And it quit raining a half hour later, so we were back outside within the hour.

Don't sweat the weather, but you will sweat FROM the weather! Bring light clothes and lots of deodorant and sunscreen.
