ToriB, your jinx has spread over here. It's raining cats and dogs, and I've got a truck mounted machine gun pointed at my apartment building, with several police standing nearby. This has been going on for awhile. Not wishing to appear too curious, I haven't asked, but I suspect they may be here to arrest someone, and are just waiting him out, rather than risk a violent confrontation. I am staying away from the windows, for now. The equipment and style of dress of those who are not mere traffic cops can be a little off putting for newly arrived people to Mexico. But, you get used to it, and I feel more secure knowing they're on the job.
WHAT???? WOW!!!! I love your positive attitude and I am hoping for a good outcome. When they get the fool, can you send them over to me for a water rescue? I can't keep up with all the cracks in the walls...this is unreal.
Sorry ToriB, and hope you can swim! They've gone, now, after about a two hour "event" that was handled very quietly.
Nice...glade to see your drama has ended. I have found 12 cracks that need patching. Uuuuugh!! it's just pouring in.
I should have listened to you: I just went out to go to work and couldn't. The streets were flooded. (I should get out, more.) As for the police, it's not totally over: the truck with the mounted machine gun is gone, and that's what I was aware of, but having gone out I see that two police in helmets and military style uniforms are stationed in my stairwell, not interested in any small talk, by all appearances.
