We are swingers staying 7th-21st Dec 09. Are you?

I think the rule of thumb is if you go to TTR looking to swing then you may be let down but if you go just to have a laugh you may get lucky with it.

 

part of the problem is that some Travel agents are advertising TR as a swingers resort when it's not... I remember hearing about some scathing tv hidden camera show that did a piece on TR (then BBG) and gave everyone in the UK the wrong impression.

I think in most people's eyes you're either a family resort or you're Hedo... they don't have an in between.


At the end of the day, TR fills a niche section of the vacation market that they could completely profit from if they want to.

There aren't many adults only resorts out there and there are even less that allow singles. TR is for the Swayers (and swingers) and there are enough around the world to put TR at max occupancy all year round.

 

we are going to the resort for the first time from Dec 6-11 and we are not really sure what to expect. We have swung in the past but only a couple times and with very select couples. my wife is bi and is looking to meet another girl friend We are concerned that if we approach someone they will be offended? Do people who are not into the "lifestyle" get pissed off or do they expect it and decline politely???

 

I read reviews, saw pictures and booked the trip however, When my boyfriend and I booked this trip, we did not know it was a place swingers frequented, not that I am all that surprised by this but I didn't even think the topless optional thing was a sign of that because our local beach is topless optional and families are everywhere it is a public beach.

We are looking forward to meeting new people and having a good time, just no swinging

 

great post and how true... TTR could fill that niche if they want and still get the repeaters (like so many of us) to come back. if only they knew the market potential

 

I'm sure they know the Market very well. But whomever is making the decisions on what direction TR wants to go may not agree with what we talk about here. They may want to be just like the other Adults only resorts that aren't as risque as TR. Who knows.

All I know is that if I was running it. It would go after those swayers out there which I honestly think way out number the swingers in the world. The "Dream team" would have a job for life and singles and couples could enjoy all the fun they can handle.

 

I can't say all because that never works.. but done politely most people that frequent TTR are flattered by the invotation and will respond politely with a yes or no, or an arrrggghhhh I wish I could.

It's when the asking couple doesn't take no for a no that most people then get upset. That usually involves swinger wannabees that have finally screwed up the courage to do it and don't want to let the moment pass. But we all understand that true swinging couples know the difference.

Swingers are everywhere, even at your local Holiday Inn. :wink: Some places they are just more open about it than others.

I think bottom line is, as I've said before, TTR is like a college frat party for adults. You will see topless women and even full nudity for brief moments during some of the games. You will see a lot of suggestive things but if people hook up they do it in private in their rooms. Not everyone is headed there to hook up but some are. Most are going to have a place where the word f@ck doesn't draw gasps and hugging your friends topless wife in front of him will not start a fight.

I've always said that if I was getting 1/10th of the action that people assumed I was by watching me around the resort I would be one very tried but happy man. The thrill is all in the chase and like the dog chasing the car, sometimes we get real close but we never actually bite the bumper.

there has never been a single time (we have been 5 times) we have been there that we have not had..........at least the opportunity to swing or mess around with another couple (or a single for that matter)........... if we had so desired

so call it what you will........... there are opportunities --------> regardless of what one would call or label it

t and i just go to have fun - not really on an agenda per say - but we never rule anything out as a couple - whatever happens - as they........"shit happens

and if anything happens........ i better get a decent (not that grainy cheap ass crap) video with audio

Well I have to say we have swung from time to time, but are not hardened swingers, swayers maybe. We went last year and didnt play at all, but enjoyed ourselves and are returning this July/August. Maybe we are just now older and fatter than we used to be. As Europeans we really didnt see anything sexual in the topless thing and only a few were very revealing with thongs etc. We had a ball watching all the games but I cant say they turned us on either. We even had a swingers group hire half the hotel for few days and still saw nothing! I guess its all how you look on life, it wouldnt worry us who talks to us or what they say, its just nice to chat.
