I picked up one of these: KODAK EASYSHARE SPORT Underwater Digital Camera C123 They are phasing it out so you can get it for less than $50 if you search around. Worked like a champ and that was with lots of pool time and snorkeling during the Boobs Cruise.
depends on how much you want to spend but I just got a olympus tough tg-310 at staples for 129.99. Got pretty good reviews online so figured I would get it. Have taken pictures already to try it out and photos outside and inside where pretty good but haven't done the underwater test . Did put it in the sink full of water to make sure all the parts were sealed before I bring it in April and it still works. Rob
For those living in the US, Groupon has a deal for an underwater camera... Not sure how good it is though. All Terrain Video Action Camera Deal of the Day | Groupon Abilene, TX
I bought the same camera for my vacation to Hedo a few years ago. As Moss68 stated, this is a fantastic camera to have around the pool or Ocean. Very durable and super cheap. I highly recommend the Kodak playsport. Who knew under water video could be so fun
I agree...I just picked up this one at Sam's Club for $89 and it comes with the HDMI cable and floating wrist strap. Cant beat it!
Olympus tg310 For those in England that want a water proof camera, Asda are doing the tg310 for £85.00 reduced from £120, got one yesterday seem a good all rounder, and while your there bubba kegs are £4. Are we there yet (may 13 -37th)
We just looked into this as well and were peaked in interest in the model you are talking about because it fits the cheap price range and we have owned the Kodak easy share(non waterproof) before, so we did some diggin. Here is what we found... now it has a flash and is 12mp and found it for $75 USD. the only bummer is it doesn't have image stabilization. http://www.live.kodak.webcollage.net/server/provantage/kodak-product-content/si?ws-action=http://www.live.kodak.webcollage.net/store.kodak.com/products/223152000.html?channel-product-id%3dEAKA0L0%26wcpc%3d8431504%26format%3dpopup%26tab%3doverview-61f4e520%26tab-caption%3dOverview%26tab-code%3doverview%26tab-var%3d61f4e520~MarkupType!document!PresentationFormat!html!enable-reporting!true,http://content.webcollage.net/provantage/product-content-page?channel-product-id%3dEAKA0L0%26wcpid%3dkodak-8431504%26report-event%3dproduct-button-click%26usemap%3d0
I second Russ' recommendation. RedMistClone and I used the same one and it took more than adequate pictures for a camera I wouldn't cry over if I lost.
It's official.... I'm spending too much time on Cancuncare. When I saw this thread I thought its title was Waterproof Underwear Camera.
