The points were moved Terry. 240,000 points.

I was under the impression that we had to pay $115 to move points. I was wrong. Under our contract we can move the first 240,000 for free. Then if we need more points during the year we have to pay $115 to move an additional 240,000 points. Ana cleared this up for me.

We had that fee taken out of our contract so we can move as many points as we want at no cost. Terry

Apperantly Premier has offered a member 50% of there money back to terminate there contract. Anyone else get an offer that filed a PROFECO complaint?

We paid $22,000 for our contract. WE have used 1 Million points and saved $9000 in airfare and resort fees in 2.5 years. If we get an offer to buy it back at half the original price or a bit higher I will seriously consider it. As we paid cash for this membership that will put cash back in our pocket. Also by terminating the membership we save $3,450 in yearly RCI fees. This could potentially give us back $15K with cash and savings.

Not a peep out of Premier in months.
I wonder if that member had to go to Temptation to get the deal?

I am trying to track down this member and send a private email to find out where and when they were offered this deal. If I understand it correctly this offer came after they sent in a PROFECO complaint.

Ill check it out more and let you know what I find out.

after a long wiat we heard from PROFECO

    Dear Mr. & Mrs. Baskett,

We have received your paperwork. The Consumer Protection Agency, PROFECO, is part of the administrative branch of the Federal Government of Mexico. The Department of Conciliation Services for Foreign Residents provides assistance towards trying to conciliate controversies for foreign or Mexican citizens living abroad that acquire any product or service from a Mexican supplier and are not satisfied with it.

Because of the administrative nature of this Agency, Profeco cannot dictate mandatory resolutions to resolve controversies presented before us; therefore, we cannot force a reply from a company. We assist the parties within a mediation/conciliation procedure; based on the terms of the contract that consumer supplies us. Conciliation is an inexpensive way to settle a problem and keep it out of court.

According to the Federal Law of Consumer’s Protection, to submit a complaint through this Agency a term of one-year statue of limitations, after the purchase or inconformity shall be applied; besides, verbal promises will not be suitable in this conciliation procedure.

Profeco does not require the presence of the consumer during the mediation procedure.

We inform you that your complaint will be analyzed. Please wait for news.

It is important to stress that all personal and confidential information collected by Profeco, will be considered as non disclosed and protected by our Federal Laws. It seems that you cancelled within the allowed term, so please let us know whether you have solved this claim.

For further information do not hesitate to contact us to: (+52) 55-52-11-17-23 or to our e-mail: extranjeros@profeco.gob.mx

    Thank you.
    Sincerely,
    Laura Mejía

    Our reply:

    Laura Mejía
Thank you for letting us know PROFECO received our complaint.

You have indicated the following : "It seems that you cancelled within the allowed term, so please let us know whether you have solved this claim."

WE have not cancelled the membership and are still seeking a way to resolve our ongoing issues with Premier by Original Resorts. Premier was sent a request to cancel the membership for non-conformity and a demand for a full refund of the cotract price as stated in our contract. However, Premier refused to accept a cancellation notice and the demand for a full refund. They informed us that we needed to file a complaint with PROFECO as stated in our contract to resolve our numerous complaints.

We will wait for more information from you regarding this matter.
    Thank you for your assistance.

    Mike Baskett
