tis sad but true, they just do not care about the current members, why in the world would I send them more people?? Love the resort and will return, just not under my contract...cheaper other ways.

I think I am going to go to Vegas in October with RCI,.,,

We will be making up enough cards for our next visit to lay around the resort warning people of the scam. The way I look at it. Their are 52 weeks in a year and if we can get enough members taking some sort of flyer or business card telling folks to beware. It will only take 52 members to get the year covered. This will take some organizing, but eventually could be done. I bet they would start negotiating with us after a year of that.

    just thoughts

wI have been following this thread for months (13), and even researched trying to book my TTR trip with a time share owner. Unfortunately after all the fees plus flight, it was cheaper to book online through travelocity. But i have a question which may be naive but I'll ask anyway. what happens if you stop paying? From my understanding they will put it on your credit report, which you then dispute, (in the U.S through the U.S credit system). Because they broke the contract you should be able to win the dispute(with paper work). If they sue you, even better because they changed your contract, and you should win. Also what type of correspondence are you recieving, if you are recieving fraudulent mail (invaid contracts) then maybe the US post office can apply some pressure.https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/MailFraudComplaint.aspx.
If these companies are doing any business in the U.S. then they are using our banking system, which means they have assets which can be frozen. in a nut shell... if the can come after you in the U.S you can go after them in the U.S.
to my TTR partiers who paid cash see above.. file a lawsuit here (U.S) The feds go after international Corps alot, don't wait on our "Friends south of the Border". There Has to be a Corporation representing there intrest in this country.
I do thank you all for the info,
we'll be @TTR in August drinkin and smilin

That's a good idea! But you would have to do it carefully so you would not get kicked out. Terry

They cant harm your credit they don't have your SS #. The mail fraud idea is also I good one. I have believed all along that somethig could be done because all payments are made though a US bank. We wired them 10,000 dollars and they claimed they never recieved it, they almost got in trouble then because of wiring money laws. I think I remember reading at the Mole's site that it is just an individual you send payments to in CA and they put it in their own account and then send it to Mexico, not sure that's correct or not. WIRING MONEY TO MEXICO IS LEAGL! WIRING MONEY OUT OF MEXICO IS LEAGAL. Premier claims they can not wire moeny due ot banking laws that have changed. This is false. There is no change to the banking laws regarding money wire transfers. My sister in law is a contract attorney with La Quinta Inn. They wire money all the time and there is never an issue.

New update on our end: We have tried 3 times this week to have Premier transfer 240,000 points to our RCI account. We are not getting any reply from anyone. We are being ignored.

Premier threats to ruin credit: Let them try. They need your Social Security number to do that. Good luck with that Premier!

after 4 days of trying I finally got Premier to transfer points to the RCI account.

Here is the deal. While on vacation in December we were given an addendum by Premier to cancel our yearly maintanance fees. This document never made it to our file. In there eyes we have been delinquint since January on our account. Luckily I have scanned all of our documents into the computer and have PDF files of everything. I quickly sent off this file and within a couple hours Ana made the points transfer.

Word of warning to anyone with existing and new addendums. Once you return home make call or email Premier and make sure these addendums made into your file/account. This will save you time later when you want to transfer points or make reservations with your membership.

Link to RCI class action uodate

    http://www.tugbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100107

This is from the TUG forum... look around the forum and you'll see where people aren't being able to get as many 'trade options" all of a sudden, thru RCI ( this effects us with points) it seems they only have to hold a deposit 31 days before it goes to the rental market.

RCI once had a points partner program with their credit cards that could be exchanged for a free airline ticket ( which I have done) About the time they limited our points partner to 60K , they changed the credit card program to just a % discount off their airline ticket. Their price was always higher then finding your own fare even with the discount.

But do browse the forum , they are many people experiencing a lot of new problems with them and wyndham (part of the group) including changes in the point values of their weeks ( at least they can't devalue our pts )

I have always put more blame on RCI ( if they won't take the points, Premier can't make them) and it coincides with their credit card change. Besides premier would gladly sell us more points if we ran out.

Does anyone on here own a conventional timeshare (points or weeks) that you pay a maintainence fee and get nothing for it, or accessed for extra money for repairs etc? Or a week that won't trade or to few points to use to get what you want unless you save them to the next year or buy more?.. but do browse the forum, we're not alone!!!

I posted there( the tug forum) when all this started, not many responded because so few have unlimited points like we did or do. But there is alot of interesting reading there. We did use points to book a vaction at Disney for christmas with no problems. Will try to book another Disney vacation for June that is if I can get points moved, I hope Mike got his moved.
