WE received an addendum on our last trip waiving the yearly maintanace fee and we did not have to upgrade to get it. They acan and will do this for all members if you make a big enough stink about the ongoing issues.

As for the Lawyer situation. A members in in Mexico now working with an attorney to sue Premier. We have not heard from them in about a week. Last we heard they were waiting to serve Premier(Bert) papers. Since that post no one has heard from them.

WE will not upgrade the membership by paying any money out of pocket. Period! WEre not getting what we paid for now so why would anyone upgrade knowing Premier isnt honoring the contract as written already. WE have a plan to use our existing points over the next 23 years staying at local RCI destinations around Oregon, Washington, California and a few other Western states. Were also giving points to employees for a week at ski resorts and Hawaii as Christmas bonuses for those workign for Shelley. One way or another we care going to use all those points. It might take all 23 years to do it but we will use them.

Currently PROFECO has our complaint and were waiting to hear back from them on the next course of action. I have stated all along that I have no faith in PROFECO as they can not force Premier to do anything. They can suggest ways to settle the dispute but they can not enforce anything. They are mergley mediators.

I would not recommend anyone to upgrade and pay more money out of pocket to get less then what you have now. Its not a wise financial strategy.

The Free AI weeks! If you are making payments on your membership you can not use these weeks UNTIL the membership is paid in full no exceptions. There is also no gaurentee that when you want to book one of your free weeks that they will have rooms open for the Free AI weeks use. The Free AI weeks are to be booked at Premier discretion and there is nothing that says they have to book anything at all. They can simpkly tell you there are no rooms availble for the Free AI weeks until your contract expires.

I would NOT ENCOUAGE ANY BODY TO GO ON THE BREAKFAST TOUR, The resort is not that big any body could find their way arould in a day or two , why waste half your day to learn where a few places are! Thanks for the update Mike. My next major quest is to find out if class acion suits can take place in Mexico! Terry

You must be a slow learner. Our first breakfast tour took two hours & IMO it was worth it. We didn't buy intil 2nd year. I'm glad you weren't there to discourage me from going. I would have missed it. Everybody has their own opinion, let them make it themselves. I'm glad I didn't listen to you when the lawyer came around asking for money. What a waste of time & money he turned out to be. I'm trying to work with you guys but you make it very difficult with your tunnel vision. I would be interested in other members opinions on what their plan of attack is toward RCI & Premier.

Easy there NTBABY because you're coming in on the coattails of some very fine members here that have been busting their butts with emails, phone calls, letters & meetings over the last year or so to even get premier to negotiate ANYTHING.
If you're offered what you percieve to be a good deal I encourage you to take it. I along with others posting here paid cash for our purchase so eleminating interest charges means nothing & we merely want WHAT we purchased. Being forced to pay more to deliver a product that has been bought & payed for reeks of extortion to me.

If you think you got a great deal then that works for you and thats great. However we paid our membership in full at time of purchase and we are not getting what we pair for. We can not use the membership as described in the contract or what was verbally told to us by Frank Tocco.

Blue Bay, Temptations and Desire have eliminated ALL-Inclusive items that are listed in our contract, we can not use the RCI points for unlimited airfare, AI fees are increasing more then what our contract states and the resorts are not honoring all of the membership benefits that we have a copy of. No one will tell us why and no one will discuss it with us. WEre just SOL.

They offered to upgrade the membership for an additonal $7,000 on top of what we already paid. In retunr Premier offered us 1.5 million points less then what we already own, 3 less "bonus" weeks then what we own and nothing in compensation for these losses.

More money/less in return = BAD DEAL for us.

If PROFECO can not help resolve this we will start using points by giving relatives the option to use our points if they pay the fees for the night/week stay. We already have 4 family memebers wanting to use the points for Hawaii. 70,000+$139 for a week saves tehm a few hundred dollars and we use our points. With 4.9 million points remaining we need to use 215,000 a year. Thats a lot of points but Im confident I can do it.

Thanks Infidel funny I was strongly on premier's side a year ago until and insider told me what was really going on with premier. And Mike here is another example of premier attempting to break the contract, a member that has the 20% off the lowest price published written into their contract, told me that premier is give them a really hard time about honoring it, even though they have it in writing! Love the resort, and I do like my membership, but dispise premier and just want what we paid for! Terry

I was one of the first ones to change over to the new contract. Bernie had it written so I can use as many AI weeks a year that I want. They don't let anyone else do that. You can also earn free AI weeks through referals. We got three of those so we haven't even had to use any of the 8 AI weeks that came with the contract. If you are stuck with the membership you might as well make it work for you.

Make it work for you! Thats our plan until we hear from Profeco. There are options to use points for nightly and weekly stays are condos within 500 miles of our home. Currently about 18 on the list. We plan to start taking 3 and 4 day weekends and picking a location to visit and explore. In 2010 we plan to start taking trips to Hawaii once we knock out some of our debt. By 2011 we will be back to traveling out of the US and will be using the points in Europe.

We can still use the membership/RCI points but not as purchased with all the restrictions on airfare and points partner programs. But, we have 23 years left on the contract and plan to use the points as often and as many points as we can when ever we can.

    my 2 cents

I know we didn't get what we thought we paid for , but, in all honesty I just wanted the RCI points at the time..... We went to Hawaii in Feb this yr ( Bali Hi) 7 days for 60,000 pts ( about 640 dollars my cost ) (travelocity was over 2000 dollars) A lot of Timeshares don't get that many points a year. plus have carry over restrictions etc.

We have another timeshare with a 500.00 maintenance fee that we just pay and get no equity ( AI fees).. But, we've been able to rent it for a little profit . Timeshares can work if you put some time in learning how to use them ... not always an easy task.

I didn't care about the points partner program at the time because we never found it to be a bargain . We always got much better deals shopping around. Sometimes we'll travel with another couple and we get the rooms and they get the car , or use their points 1 week and ours a second week etc.....we did that for Hawaii 3 times so we each stayed 2 weeks for 60,000 - 80,000 pts, and always real nice places!! so your points do have value.

It's just a shame that Premier doesn't give members a break on all inclusive etc.... and we never got or saw anything about member's day to try the yacht. With some honesty and "real" perks they would have a product people could be satisfied with
