I think its safe to say they are. RCI won't send out those waivers to sign if they weren't. So it sounds like Bert needs to hear an earfull from members. :lol:

He doesnt care Renee, when we were there in May I asked him direct (after talking to someone else) to rewrite my contract exactly for what it is worth now, in the new format.....he refused, said they couldnt change anything unless a new contract was issued, hence 4000 more dollars !! And told me directly that since RCI did this I "needed to get over it, and move on"

as it stands now, I am looking to go in May and I can probably get a better deal with expedia.com than booking with the resort and paying those "stupid" AI fees.....so I stay in a different room??
the way we are looking at it now is that its a lesson learned, I have been trying to get ahold of Clayton since Christmas time and no response, been doing some research on line about other lawyers that handle this kind of thing, but not getting very far......and unlike Terry never believed in the resort, or in RCI.....they just plain dont give a hoot !! they have our money and as far as their concerned that is the end of that.

I feel sorry for Chris, because I do think he had our best interest in mind and was trying to make things right...

 

Hopefully since it has come out that "Bert" is the culprit for the addition of the $4000 to the new contract we can put pressure on him . We all know that isn't going to bother someone like him (greedy b@st@rd) but maybe if we had his e-mail we could inform him of how concerned we are with the direction that Premier has taken . We can let him know that we are sueing RCI and ask if he would like to join us since it is affecting his bottom line .

I guess I was believing in Chris, he kept telling me over and over again that things where okay, I really believe he thought that too. I sure wish Karan was still arround, I am sure she would know about Mexican law and give good advice, and Steve dont delete this because I spoke her name. Maybe Susan had the right idea about contacting the Mexican gov. Terry

 

Sorry Steve , I just thought she was kind of a bulldog and would have tried to help and I was told not to post any thing about her here. Talked to her alot on line (for two years) And I think unless they can find some body like Chris to work there it may be the begining of the end to the place we love. Terry

I wonder since Premier says that RCI changed their rules, couldn't we clame that they (Original Resorts, premier or whatever tey are calling themselves this year) intentionally "devalued" our contracts with them when they made the changes? Since the 60,000 point limit is only for cantracts before whatever date that was. Couldn't we accuse them of devalueing our contracts to force us to purchase new contracts???
