I am of the opinion that if Premier wanted to make this right they would contact me with a proposal....I am the customer!! Other than the letter they sent me to tell me that the contract they sold me was now worthless, I have heard nothing from them (other than to tell me my maintenance fee is coming due). We visited the resort 3 times last year and we made no attempt to set up a meeting with them nor do I plan to contact them when we return in May. I don't feel like this should be my burden.

I am in the same boat as Penny in the fact that we have a fairly small contract and fortunately we were able to use the majority of our points before all this mess happened, but I was interested in upgrading because up until all this mess, we were happy with our package, but now I have no intention of upgrading unless they clean this up, and I would never send a friend to spend their money with a company that operates this way.

We do love the resort and plan to continue going there. When my current contract expires, we will simply book through a travel agent.

I am not saying that I would never upgrade BUT they have to make this right and it should be at their initiative. And it shouldn't cost me $4000 more dollars just to get what I paid for to begin with.

    just my two cents worth

Thanks John for saying you know I am not a plant, We are just members like every body else. We also spent a large amount of money and we have not renewed our contract. Will not renew until May. I do not like the changes either, but RCI did this not premier. I can only believe what I have been told that they will make good own there promise based on what you paid, what you own, what you have used and how long you have had it. Terry

    Terry,
If Premier is innocent of all wrong-doing and really cares about their members, then answer me why they have not made any attempt to contact the individuals that bought into the "accellerated points" program? Not even after I have made several attempts via email to have someone contact me to inform me what kind of alternate package they could offer me. This includes Chris Olroyd who entered the scene early this year as our supposed advocate and was going to do all he could to get management to improve relations w/ Premier members.

I showed good faith (and ultimately stupidity) by paying $30K in full for a vacation plan that was supposed to provide me the flexibility to travel to exotic locations all over the world with the only additional costs being the RCI booking fees, the annual RCI membership fees and of course the Premier annual maintenance fee which is disguised as "pre-paid all inclusive fees". Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the property, but I and many others like me, certainly did not buy into this to spend 25 years going to the same location year after year.

Forgive me for being blunt, but after reading so many of your pro-Premier posts to this thread, you must be somehow compensated by these thieves or just extremely nieve!

The "NEW" package doesn't change a thing . In our new package you don't get unlimited points you get 40,000 points per year , you get 3 A.I. free weeks to use over the next 25 yrs. , if you con someone (let's say your friends) into going upstairs and buying thier lies you get one free A.I. week (of course your friends get the shaft) well they won't be your friends anymore !! In the contract we signed we got 3 free weeks per year , we could use up to 200,000 points per year for anything . We got to use our contract one time and then our contract was deemed useless , unless, and here's the kicker , unless we paid them another $4000 . Now doesn't that sound like they want to help us !!!

To clarify, my contract in nights does NOT include any AI fees. I have to pay AI per stay. The substitute of AI weeks into the contract in replacement for unuseable RCI points should be very interesting for repeaters. I wouldnt mind changing my deal for that ...if they dont ask me for more money :)

I agree Premier could do better with communications to its members, I too got the letter about pre-paid AI fees for 2009 which is the only correspondence I receive apart from a very rare e-mail with promotion dates.

Believe me thay are committed to "upgrading" all these contracts and are currently assembling an "aftercare" team to push it through. I understand there may be some form of discounted stay offer to do so. Also be aware this is contractual stuff which needs to be done face to face with signature. They will not discuss details by e-mail or phone, but you should still keep pushing the rusty wheel to open negotiations for the upgrade. The onus is on them to put things right, although its not clear how they are approaching it..by contract number? alphabetical order?. I can understand your impatience just be assured it is being pushed and not stalled.

Finally, Chris Oldroyd is not and never was setup to be an "advocate". He is VP for Operations and Marketing. Note carefully the word "Marketing". It is the first Marketing position the organization has had, which implies attention to brand, image and service quality. He has a tough roe to hoe but as I mentioned initally the changes so far have been positive.

Right on Slotman!! Being an accountant, I would love to follow the money trail on all the millions of dollars we paid to Premier. Although I do not believe RCI is innocent in this matter, I would like to reiterate that they do have to pay for the plane tickets we get from them and I seriously doubt they were adequately compensated by Premier.

    johnc,

Mr. Oldroyd posted the above statement back on March 14th on another thread in this forum in response to people complaining about their difficulty in getting membership issues resolved. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but he sure sounded like an advocate for us at that time.
Since then he doesn't respond to emails sent directly to him. For a while there, almost everyone contributing to this thread thought he either got fired for being a customer advocate or quit because he might have been too overwhelmed by all of us that have been $crewed royally. Early on he was certainly gung-ho about making improvements in the premier membership and letting us know he was there for us. Now he's hiding in the background along with the rest of Premier's executive management who appear to care less about this travesty.

    watch out

    Slotman,

    Well said..

Christ Oldroyd might be told to shut up, or go get another job by his boss. We do not trust this company and the management.

This is one thing I will have to agree with you, the resort needs to send a letter to its members, the only reason I can think of why they have not is because either the situation is changing so rapdidly, or they dont want to be flooded with relplies. And I would work for them if they ask me, goodness knows they need some english speaking people to help solve problems. And you can still use your points to go where ever you want. But you might find that RCI is not that accomadating. As far as beening nieve, I guess only time will tell. Terry
