    I believe thet we are all pro resort . Most of us have been there several times and plan on going back as often as we can . What I don't believe is that Premier is doing anything to help us ; as you do ! I don't believe that they didn't know that RCI was going to put a restriction on points ; as you do ! I don't believe a word they say ; as you do ! Premier and RCI have ripped us off for thousands of dollars and I don't think I will be helping them with anything nor that they deserve any defense ; as you do !

    I've been lurking on this thread for a while now, but didnt have anything to post as I hadnt had any dealings with Premier for a while, my previous trip being at the beginning of this year.
    I visited Temptation Resort from 11/24-12/2 and did visit with the Premier team and got the scoop on this.

    They are committed to "upgrading" all of the contracts where RCI points were accelerated (mostly issued in 2007) beyond the recent quota restrictions (2008). The people I talked to about this upgrade were happy with it. They do ask for more money but it is just to "reset the clock" on the package, according to how much has actually been used from it.

    My own Premier contract pre-dates the RCI point issue, although I do have a handful of RCI points which I have not used yet. My contract is in "nights" at any of the Original (ex Blue Bay) Resorts plus a yearly quota of RCI points which have a 3 year shelf life.
    I paid RCI to keep them from expiring as I hadnt used them. I will use them someday but it will be at an hotel or resort.
    I personally have not found the use of points for air travel to be very flexible. They always wanted minimum advance booking and the points demanded were high when translated to dollars paid on the contract.

    I was actually impressed this visit, it does look like Premier is getting things together with new benefits -free WiFi , dedicated seating on the beach and pool, with dedicated attendant, website access to contract status. The presence of the attendants on the beach, in the lobby mean you dont have to go all the way back to the Premier office to make reservations and other stuff. The Premier office is now attended full time, Enrique works mornings, and Norma afternoons

    Lastly, I'm assured that Terry is definitely NOT a plant... nor am I. I too had some issue with Premier in the past over the Premiernights business deal but that is now history and I still have the use of the contract. Through that, I became quite familiar with how things work on their side.
    As a fellow member, I would rather see the new Premier areas filled with people enjoying their investment, than have this thread turn it into a chapel of misery.

    My advice for anybody still with one of these accelerated points contracts should contact Premier directly ASAP and they will be only too eager to upgrade it

    "Chapel Of Misery" WTF... I too had Nights on My 1st contract, upgraded to the points to USE not to be limited. So now with all of our "MILLIONS OF USELESS POINTS. It's cheaper to go thru VacationExpress. As for the "Perks"
    Not enough for what we paid.

    I agree lowrider... WTF!!!!! :evil: I already paid $30,000 for my 8.5 million points. I'll be damned if they get another penny of my money to "reset the clock". I had around 600,000 points transferred to RCI since getting my deal. 600,000 divided by 8.5 million is approx 7% of the total points purchased, therefore give me a new deal that covers 93% of my $30,000 investment. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what $ value remains of the accelerated points contracts out there. As far as contacting Premier, I've tried several times to get information on either getting a pro-rated refund of my contract or have them tell me what they'd offer in exchange. I have yet to receive an answer and don't believe I ever will until I get the opportunity to get down there and talk to these scam artists in person.
    They haven't made any attempt to contact me other than letting me know my maintnance fee is coming due.

    I kind of didn't know how to react to that either Al....

    I DID contact them and met with them while we were there in September, and the "new" contract they offered me IMHO did not compare to what I originally signed up for, and they wanted an additional 4000 dollars. They wanted me to send other people there so they could sell them a Premier contract. And in return I would get my AI fee paid for for 7 days a year. I am not in your situation with millions of points that are now usless, but I paid for the points I do have.....
    I am not an idiot and do understand that for some people that would work out great for them, it does not for me !! I am glad some people could get it worked out with Premier and RCI, but again in my opinion Premier is turning their backs and telling me to deal with RCI's rules if I dont want to buy into this new contract..

    Sooooo, John I know you have dealt with Premier for alot longer than me, but they are not holding up their end of the bargain on the contract that BOTH of us signed...

    as far as misery is concerned........I will keep looking for an attorney to try and help me

    Also keep in mind what John has and what I have(different then John's) we paid a hell of alot less then what you guys are reporting(not sure what John paid but others I know on his style program paid quite a bit less then what you guys have in it). So for them to ask for more money to me seems like your putting another foot in the grave with Premier. It's their damn mess and they should step up and take some responsibility in the issues that occured. Not just say we can fix it for more money. Who's to say the new system isn't going to go down the gutter in a year???? Then what, give us more money to fix it again???
