Correct – the new program is a clean slate…you can use points partners as normal in the new program…the only limit is what your annual yearly points allotment is (of course you can borrow from the next years allotment). This is from the email Chris sent me. Terry

It would be real nice if Chris would post what's going on with Premier on this site as he had in the past. He promised (way back when) that Premier would create a forum just for members on the premierbyoriginalresorts.com website where the company could monitor and respond to members concerns. Obviously that hasn't happened because it's obvious that they really just don't care now that they have our money! The website has been under construction for at least 6 months... probably longer than it took all the renovations at Temptation!!!

I would not put to much stock in what premier says. As we all have seen Premier says one thing and RCI says another. RCI gets away with that "subject to change clause". Which is how we all got in this jam in the first place. I would love to hear from a member who, in the new contract, has been able to use more than 60K points on Points Partners and if they have tried trading in bonus weeks for points. That one I really doubt. It would eliminate the rental of bonus weeks issue. Surely to good to be true

I'm not a Premier member, but I am a businessman and the best advice I can give any of you is to get whatever promises are made in writing. Sales people promise the world and really don't care about the actual terms of the contract. If someone promises you something on the phone or even in person, ask them to put it in writing and sign it. If they won't then you know you are headed for another round of "jerk me around" by the timeshare people.

Terry, I hope that works out for you, but I just plain don't believe a word they say.......and the only way I will is if a judge tells them they HAVE to give us what we originaly paid for. And I think deep down we all know how to go about that

I also agree with twin, to a point! I got what they promised me in writing the first time I signed up and gave them my money, and RCI changed it all?? If they are now thinking they are going to have to go to litigation and trying to backpedal, who knows?? but I just cant throw good money after bad. How much more will it cost me to "switch" to this new contract?? I just plain don't trust a thing they say.....

Just to clarify what I was saying, from a standpoint of making something enforceable, the contract has to be in writing. If they have some clause in the contract that says they may unilaterally change the contract at will, then it doesn't matter if it is in writing or not. I have never recommended to any client or friend that they buy a timeshare. I have yet to see one that really is a "good deal" and it sounds like RCI and Premier are really far from being a good deal.

    AMEN TO THAT !!!

I for one don't believe that Premier nor RCI intend on doing the right thing. I would like for Terryb to copy and post the e-mail from Chris Oldroyd so that we all can see . The deceitful way that everything has been handled leads me to believe that they (RCI & Premier) don't give a rats ass about thier members . The bottom line is the almighty dollar and how much they can get from us . Thier doing everything they can to confuse and piss off thier members hoping that with every change of contract they can get people to sign a new contract (more money) I for one would never ever tell someone that we got a good deal or that Premier is trying to help us . Maybe help us go broke .

I went to a timeshare meeting in 06 and they started out at $35,000 and got down to $6,000 now what I got changed from one price to the other, but wow...... I kept saying no and they kept coming up with another offer....I listened.....I did the math and not on any day did it sound like a good deal......and not once did they say I would need to pay another dime to visit TTR.....now I find out AI rates apply and who knows what else....glad I said NO NO NO....I did get a massage out of it and $100 and I was drunk when I left the meeting so I guess all and all I had a good time.......plus it was raining so I was not missing a thing at the sexy pool... I guess buyer beware applies....one must understand that businesses are bought out and so contracts end or are modified nothing in business stays the same....
