So, if you sign a new contract you get what you should have had in the first place?

What's the difference between the old contract and the new one (apart from what you posted), there must be one?

exactly my thought Steve......does that mean they will honor my original contract??? thats what it says, if the points are transfer to RCI you have to use them within that year or lose them....

and glad you heard that Terry, but I havent heard anything, not even the release from RCI, just the copy I got here..

actually going to see the attorney this week sometime, will listen to what he has to say????

Sign a new contract and give them cash???? Why not just cut out the BS and honor our original contracts, treat "Blue Bay" customers the same as everyone else and just admit we were being screwed with and get it over with????

We did not use points for our flights for the upcoming trip...just purchased our tickets through Continental's web site. I will tell you it was the easiest, most stress free flight I have booked since joining Premier. I did not have to email Premier 5 times to get points transferred only to have RCI tell me the flight we originally wanted was no longer available. Only down part is we now have to drive to Chicago instead of flying out of Green Bay, but with the new cap we could not have flown out of Green Bay through RCI either.

Where is this info coming from. Considering all the misinformation that has come about RCI lately I will be very hesitant about believing in RCI not changing their mind again.

There is a big difference. First you can only use whatever your allowance is per year. This way the points are automatically put into your account now under RCI's control. You have to be very diligent about using them. Anything you don't use in time is lost. Every time that happens is a plus for RCI. For those who have 5 mil points in 25 years you would get 200,000 points /year. That is quite a bit to use every year. Where you might do a big trip charging room airfare & car to your points you would not have enough to do that in 1 year but you may have leftover points if you just used for airfare. It is alot of work that you will have to put into it to keep the odds in your favor. The contracts most of us had Premier held the points and you just put in what you need and used it. This was the big problem for RCI. Also some of the contracts had huge amounts of points 5-8 mil; you would have an ave of 2-300,000 a year! Great for us bad for RCI. RCI went to work on clamping down. Now the intresting part is, as some people switch will there be 2 types of Premier members in RCI? Those that swiched and limit removed and those that didn't and still have limit imposed. I can see even more confusion in the works.

HolaThe new contract you are limited to however many points you get a year and you can borrow points from the next year if you need them. Also, RCI told me that you can trade in bonus weeks for points, not sure if this is true or not. Your points can roll over at RCI one year with out haveing to pay if you have used points that year, otherwise you can pay RCI to roll them over. Terry

Although it's not exactly what I signed up for, I would be totally content with splitting up my allotted points annually which would give me in excess of 300K points per year to do as I wish. Why should I have to sign a new contract for that and fork over even more money. They RCI already changed the terms of my contract ... so why can't they just make another adjustment to the terms to my existing contract??
It seems odd that Terry always gets this information before anyone else. Is this something that was personally presented to Terry at TTR? Have you got anything in writing? Did it specify being able to use the points for Points Partners?
I know I'm asking alot of questions, but after getting screwed once, I am very leary about signing a new contract with these people.

I thought the same thing Slotman........is he in constant contact with RCI or Premier??

the only thing I have gotten from RCI is the letter about the cap on the amount of points I can use per year......nothing from Premier, except when I was there, to get me to sign a new contract..

now something new from RCI again?? havent heard a thing, so I am going to continue on the path I have started.....

Copy and paste!! All these little bits and pieces of information are frustrating, getting the whole email content would probably be less so.
