Terry, what they offered me when we were down there was to "roll" over the old contract into the new contract, which included 80,000 points a year, and 3 weeks per year at the resort, 1 week AI fee paid, unless we sent someone down there that bought into their stuff we would get an additional AI week for each person who signed up, so they would take the old contract and essentially make it null and void, and issue you the new contract and go from there...

    hope this helps!!

Hola , Penny and Curt , Sorry but to understand this I need to know what you guys went in with, I believe in the resort ,I dont think this is any thing they wanted to happen, just need to know the details about what they are doing about it. From what I breifly understand we keep our weeks but lose our points if we sign a contract. Terry

They gave us the same offer in last May. They also want us to pay up front, about $1,100 per one AI week, and no more prepared $500 AI each year. They, also, offer us one AI week for each couple we help them to screw the couple over. We do not think we can sleep at night for benifiting from helping them screwing other poor couple and ruin their vacation for ever. Sorry, we make a promise to ourself to do our best to prevent others from getting screwed.

Terry, we had a very basic contract, I signed up for enough points to get flights for 6 trips to TR.....to be taken in the next 25 years. These were to be bought with our points, which were held at TR to be switched over to RCI points when we needed them to fly. The contract also included one "bonus" week per year. So we had enough days to switch to points and could go on our bonus week. I thought when we ran out of points we could just add to our contract if we wished. And when our "days" were used up and we didnt wish to continue the contract was done.
Well since they changed this to a points cap, we cant even use them up, if we want to we can pay for our flight and just use our bonus week every year.......which is what we will have to do in the end if nothing is done. I bought this so I could go more than once a year, use the days we bought for my extra trip, use our points for airfare when my husband and I went.
I really don't know who to blame for this, RCI or Premier, but the way I see it now is there is no other choice but to move forward with an attorney and see if they can make them live up to the original contract.

Good luck when you go down there.........I hope things can work out and they can make it so your contract will work for you, I was NOT going to give them more money and promise to send "fresh" people for them to try and sell to.

What a joke. Do they really think anyone would encourage anyone but their worst enemy to purchase at TTR!! Can't wait to ask them that question. Guess i would have to say I just don't have that many people I dislike!

I would not do that to any strangers I meet at the Resort or any where, either.

Well it looks like the law suit is moving forward according to latest message. I'm sure the lawyer (Mr. Knight) in charge will be contacting people to give there information. So for those who this effects I'd highly recommend getting on board.

Hola, new info, the resort is now offering, if you sign a new contract, no caps on points to fly if used with in a year, just like all other RCI owners. you are limited to 25 to 200,000 of points a year depending on what you own. Looks like RCI maybe a little worried. Terry
