I just got back and after talking to Bernie and Frank the best they could do was offer me the ability to earn free AI weeks by sending them new victims while I am there. I hvae 9 free AI weeks now and I figure thats worth about $17,000 at prime time. Ten more and I will have all my money back I put into the contract.

    Yes indeed good luck !!!
We also didn't pay for 4 more weeks of A.I. @ $1000 per week . They got enough of our hard earned money . Why should we give them more ? What do you get in return ? NOTHING

I bought back in May before the point cap. It came with 6 AI weeks and 120,000 points a year. And the point cap only applies to transportation. You can use your points for rooms. Now it's not what I had originally bought into but now instead of paying the AI I pay for flights instead. Works out a little better since USA 3000 has a direct flight from Baltimore for $500 round trip.

the points cap applies to "Premier" members......you can't use more than 60,000 points on ANYTHING!! that is RCI's rules, and since they control what you can spend them on, you still can't use more than that on anything they offer (car, trips, transfers, tours)

But if you feel you got compensated for the money you put out, then good for you!! It just didn't work for me..

Almost sounds like a pyramid scheme to me. And they charged you more money for this privilidge too I bet. Bernie claimed to have several "contracts" himself so he could make money renting them out with airfare using his points. Certainly could not be doing that now and touting what a wonderful program it is!

When we talked with RCI a few weeks back we were told the 60K cap only applies to airfare, hotels and car rentals (or any combination of the three). Essentially, you are limited to any of the three costing $599.00 or less, taxes etc included, per year and you use 55K points for that $599 or less. The catch in my mind is if that you want to book let say a hotel for $300 it will still cost you 55K in points.

I have to admit, I am tired of RCI quoting rates from airlines that are more expensive than what you can get from the airline itself and having to figure out how to book flights or flight legs that cost less than $599.00 to be able to use those 55K points. I would imagine that they will charge another $49 booking fee if I were to book 2 one way tickets (to meet the $599 or less restriction) and one round trip ticket (companion ticket as they call it) for both of us to fly anywhere. I don't know that for sure but my suspisions are that they will. Currently the most expensive ticket that meets the restriction for our May 09 holiday is $482 taxes / fees included... add another booking fee and the savings from not booking 2 round trip tickets (about $150 more for 2 one way tickets with US Airways) dwindles to about $300-350. Not bad for 55K points!!!!The savings are even less in our case if there is a seat sale. Never thought I'd see the day when I was looking for a more expensive airline ticket. I may not be a math genius but something doesn't quite add up in my mind.

One way to save money with US Airways is to book individually, ie separate reservations. I found it about $120 more expensive to make a reservation for 2 than 2 single reservations. Go figure!!!

Well, I am done ranting for now, lol. At least I may have clarified the 60K point thing if RCI was actually honest in what they told us about what the restriction applies too. Hmmmmmmmmmm, maybe I am still ranting here...

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Our Thanks Giving weekend here :)

Happy Thanks "Screwing" RCI!!! Oooooops, still ranting here, lmfao.

I booked my airfare through RCI for this trip. Of course I had to use my points from my other property where I have no points limit.
You still loose alot. Tix up to $300 are 35,000 points anything over $300 you pay. next price point is $400 you use 45,000 miles anything over you pay, $500 & 55,000 pts pay overage. at $600 you use 60,000 and pay the difference. Of course there is still the $49 per ticket. I used 70,ooo points and had to pay $92.00 per ticket overage and $49 RCI fee per ticket. For the 70,000 points I saved just over $300. Of course this could not have been done using my premier points since I had to use over 60,000 miles.

I emailed TTR and asked if my first 3 nights could be charged at the "come negotiate with us " rate (we were sent by email) and was told that rate was not for premier members; that rate was being booked through RCI. I would have to cancel my reservatioon and rebook through RCI!! Yea and they aren't walking hand in hand here.

I heard from Profeco today that after waiting for this meeting that Premier was supposed to show up at on 10/7. Premier did not show (surprise surprise) and the meeting is rescheduled for 12/9. Not like in the states where if they don't show a ruling is made in the plaintiffs favor.
I can wait to point all this out at this meeting we are supposed to have with them. I am really angry. They expect us to trust them!!
