WATCH OUT PREMIER MEMBERS

nmarcks very helpful post. They haave an office in New York where I am from. I think I will send an email. Awhile back someone had posted a letter they sent to a law firm in Mexico without much result. does anyone remember where in these 41 pages or what thread if not this one i would find it. It seemed to be well written and with a few additions could be sent to this legal firm. I would be very interested in being part of a class action suit. Even if I get back 3/4th of my money I would be better off than now!
How to find everyone who has been taken by this scam is the question.

 

125 I think it ws somewhere on this thread.....but it was a link to a letter written by someone else if I remember correctly....and he did get his money back, but that was a cancellation thing???

Does anyone know how aggressive they are with collections if you stop making payments? I have gotten phone calls if I am late. Will they mess up your credit?

 

I haven't paid this months payment . The way we figure it , if you pay for something you should get something in return . We have been getting the phone calls from Premier but with our schedule most phone calls during the day are on the answering machine. Don't know about the credit thing though . As crooked as they are they shouldn't be allowed to operate.

 

Until they turn over your debt to a credit collection agency I doubt anything will effect your credit rating. Even then if your making payments to the creidt collection agency it won't count against you yet. Only if you ignore them are they going to ding your credit history. Plus if you fall behind Premier will not let you use your membership until your paid up.

Though collection agencies work both ways. I think there is a good chance that if you explain exactly what happen here and how Premier is singling out its members with a 60K cap which in return is now making your membership worthless they will go back to Temptations and tell them they can not collect the debt. Only problem with all this is your still without your intial money.

I stopped my payments in May. I did get a few phone calls from collections at premier, asking why and I told them I am not getting what I paid for. They told me I could not use my benefits until I was up to date on my payments. I figure I would rather be out what I have paid so far then another $4K to boot. As of now, no collection agency has called. I would tell them the same thing. I would hold onto that letter that says RCI singled us out for the 60K limit and my arguement would be that is not what I bought and Premier in their "lack of going to bat for the members" they sold this to are just as at fault here. They should be filing a lawsuit on behalf of the members they sold this useless boatload of points to . They know who everyone is and how many it affects. I am sure it is more that we know.
I am scheduled to go down in Oct. to speak to them about the new package and what they can offer to change me to but from what I have read here I expect that to be fruitless. Has anyone been contacted by a lawyer interested in a class action? I am speaking with someone but it is very early, not sure where it will go yet?

 

Yes, I have been contacted but not sure what to make of it?? I have a very small package, but still screwed the same. I don't want to have to worry about going back to the resort. I am afraid they will restrict me from going....I have not stopped paying my contract.
Do you think they can keep me from getting what I paid for at the resort if I file in the lawsuit?? I have asked an attorney the same thing, but no answer yet.
In spite of what Premier has done to us, I still do love the resort and people that go there.....I dont want to give up going on vacation...I guess I kind of chalked it up to a VERY bad experience!

 

You can always go to the resort just not as a premier member. I have found better rates using alpha rooms, travelocity, even RCI last call rates (if you choose to keep paying their fee) or you could always rent from another poor soul on here who is paid up and stuck with all those weeks to rent. I figure if I could get out of my contract I would still go back just not as a member. The slight improvements in what you get there (as a member)is just not worth the aggravation and expense I am going through. The things I bought it for just dont exist (renting out my extra weeks, using RCI points for travel to points partners etc.) so why pay for what I will never be able to use! Premier cannot do anything to members who are involved in filing a class action against RCI or even them. They would not even know all the names.

 

I think most people in this thread have had a message from him. Don't know anything beyond that. I guess I'd be skeptic on how he plans to move forward on this. I believe he is looking for someone from IL. He must practice law there and needs a resident of the state to proceed further in a class action. Then all parties can join in at that point. Though I've done a little searching and can't find him listed as a lawyer anywhere in IL. But like I said I did just a little research and that was it. Don't know anything beyond that.

Would of been nice if he at least introduced himself in the forum first.

and I agree on the introduction part, really didn't want to just hand out information willy nilly!!
