WATCH OUT PREMIER MEMBERS

We told them when we were asked "Where would you use your points to go to ?" We of course said we would use our points for airfare to fly back to Temptations . I think the same answer they are given hundreds of times . I know we have been asked this same question several times and have given them the same answer every time . Everytime we have given them this answer they would say why do you want to come back hear , wouldn't you rather go somewhere else so we can get new members to join . I have told them "Hello McFly have you not been outside !!" They say well yea but if you go somewhere else we can talk other people into joining Premier......FRESH BLOOD......

 

I think thats a standard sales pitch, If you could go any where in the world where would you go, like you had the world at your finger tips, But with no flights any more, that would be a hard sale. When Greg was there he would always pass us at the pool, giving the tour, and ask us to tell people what we paid to fly down there. That was his pitch. They ask us the same thing about where you would like to go. I believe they are only offering 25,000 points a year to new members, at this point I wont take any points. Even though we are stuck with RCI for the next three years. Terry

 

I don't think they'll ever be a 5 star resort with out tearing down and starting over and even then it would have to be one hell of a luxury resort to get 5 stars. Problem I see is the location. What your being compared to (other 5 star resorts in the area) all have perfect Caribbean beaches. Can't change mother nature.


Is it just me or does it seem like the owners are completely crazy. Seems like they just don't understand there clientle of there resort(though I believe they do). I don't even work for them and I know that Temptations/BBG/BBV has had one of the highest repeat rates through out the Caribbean for years now. So why the hell would they think people won't come back??? Or are shocked that people who bought into Premier are coming back at such a high rate??? Do they not realize RCI is big pain in the ass to even book through them for another resort?? You have to plan like a minimum a year out and in alot of cases two years out. Most people don't know what there doing next weekend. :roll: Just mind blowing when you think about them actually saying to member, "why you keep coming back here?". DUH, we bought a timeshare here so I think its pretty easy to figure out we like it here. They got some real morons running things and dealing with members on the Premier side of things in the sales area if that is what there spewing out of there mouths.

Hola, only used RCI to book flights to Cancun a a few extra vacations. The extra vacations where a good deal and fairly nice places. Have always hated dealing with RCI, it was hit or miss weather you spoke to a helpful agent or a total jerk. And if you complained they never seem to care. Terry

 

The recent chatter here does not sound good! Looks like a dead end as far as RCI is concerned. Those who posted they got letters makes their stance very clear. Premier sounds like they are just going to blow the members off and do nothing that does not get them more money. There are not interested in going to bat for us and I guess are no longer selling the RCI points ploy as their timeshare "opportunity". Those with ANY authority disappear into hiding rather than deal with the members. Even going there in person does not seem to work. So where do we all go from here are we just screwed out of out money!!
I still can't believe I got suckered into this. What a dumbass I was. I'll be kicking myself for a LOOOOONG time for this one! Nothing irks me more than seeing people get taken and I FELL FOR IT MYSELF!!!

 

Class action lawsuit is really the only step left. Maybe at least the threat of it presented to Temptations through a lawyer might be enough to rattle there cages and to do something to make this right for its members. Really if they could just turn half your points into some type of weeks and A.I fees covered for "x" amount of nights it won't be much out of there pocket if anything when considering the investment they already got out of you. I guess an example would be 1 million points equals 4 to 5 weeks with AI fees covered. Let people trade in up to 3 million points or something and put a time limit of like 10 years on it. I'm sure something as simple as that would make alot of people much more happier. I can't believe they'd being dealing with a huge number of contracts. This crazy million+ points system I think was only being sold for a limited time from what I can tell.

Otherwise like anything you bitch about it and eventually you get sick of bitching and move on. I think that is what there hoping right now for.

Actually you may have a point there. When I go down in Oct. maybe my first order of business should be to speak to an english speaking lawyer before I deal with them. If we could find one there who was interested in taking this on I bet Premier would be happy "to work with those of us stuck with this mess".
Anyone who knows where I could contact one while I am there feel free to PM me. There used to be a US lawyer on this forum but have not see her post in awhile. I think she was involved with staff there anyway. Would not be in her best interest to work with us.

 

If you post in the Living in Cancun forum I'm sure someone could give you some info. over there.

Yea, the lawyer you are talking about is not availble at this time. If she where she would be in the thick of it. I am sure she still listens. Would be nice if she could still give advice. Terry

 

Marie and I tried to trade points for A.I. nights and got no where with them. Our niece and Maries sister works for lawyers we are going to them in the next week or so to get some advice . We were so busy before we left we wish we would have taken time to talk before we left . Don't know if any of the lawyers they work for knows 'bout this stuff but I'm betting they know someone who does . When we left PJsPlay was on her way up to talk to Premier she was plenty mad but haven't heard from her.
