Hola, Acording to RCI 10,000 points is worth 100 dollars so 60,000 points is worth 600 dollars. When they give us a flight price thats not what they are paying, they reserve seats in bulk and get a cheaper price. Terry

Handyman we were 20 after you. By the time they got to us the points increased to 5.6 million over 25 years and price went up 2 K. Guess they were realizing they can hike the price and the points. What does it matter since (even at the most efficient use) we can't use more than 1.5 million in 25 years. Guess if they could have sold people 20 mil points they would have!

See my post on page 4 and 7 of this thread for who you can complain to. Premier has to send someone to answer the complaint at Profeco. It takes a long time. They have to appear to answer mine in Oct. but if they get called enough to answer these complaints Someone is going to get tired of it!

Also Terry 10,000 points does not equal $100 till over $600. $35,000 is a $300 ticket 45,000 is a $400 etc. if the ticket is $393 as was my case they charge you 35,000 points +$93.00!! Of course our point limit means you can't get more than one ticket! They will be happey to sell you the other at full price. Which of course they are not being charged! Years ago (before points partners pgm. and the ability to purchase airfare via internet) we actually USED to get discounted tickets etc through RCI. Now they just use it as a vehicle to make more money for themselves.

:?: According to pg. 13 of the 2008 RCI Points Partners Value Summary the # of points necessary for a $600 discount is 70,000. Terry, is it possible you're mistaken. I have copied the chart below. Can anyone tell me how they can get away with publishing a chart indicating exchanging up to 200,000 points and then limit us to 60,000? That is why I am convinced that Premier is to blame for this!

Exchange this many Points*... ...for this discount amount.**
    25,000 $200
    35,000 $300
    45,000 $400
    55,000 $500
    70,000 $600
    90,000 $800
    115,000 $1,000
    145,000 $1,250
    170,000 $1,500
    200,000 $1,750

Hola, I'm not wrong about what we paid for our tickets, but also we booked the tickets after all this went into affect, and we have used 240,000 points this year on flights. Terry

    Hi everyone,

I have been following this thread the whole time, but not posting much. However, I was told last week by one of the special "Premier" reps at RCI that it was Premier who imposed the limit and that I needed to take it up with them. I was also told that I had "exceeded by 60,000 mile limit for this year" because of airline tickets I set up before the limit went into effect.
