Don't know if they send from different addresses ,but, can we send to different addresses at Temptations and keep it going ? I e-mailed the squeaky wheel asking for ideas on keeping the e-mails going . As soon as we hear from them I will let everyone know . So far from my complaint there have been 104 e-mails sent to Temptations showing the complaint letter . I also posted on RCI complaints good and bad reviews the link to it is http://rcivip.com/2008/rci-timeshare-complaints-positive-and-negative-experiences/#comment-339 and I put a link to the squeaky wheel maybe we can get some more people to post there .

I have received this from consumeraffairs.com the posting (one of several about Blue Bay and RCI) can be viewed at

    http://www.consumeraffairs.com/travel/rci.html

Your complaint has been selected for publication on our site and will appear within the
    next 48 hours.

Even if you are not able to achieve satisfaction individually, you will at least have the
comfort of knowing that thousands of consumers will see your complaint, perhaps enabling
them to avoid a similar misfortune. Also, our site is visited regularly by law
enforcement agencies, local and national media and consumer organizations and we work
closely with all of them to help identify consumer concerns.

I guess Janice and I were lucky when we booked our trip in early June for 31 Aug-07 Sep. We were allowed to use 140,000 points towards airfare. NO more I guess. I am going to look into if they are registered to do business in Canada and see if I can pursue something from this end. Hopefully they are registered in Ontario...we have some pretty stringent consumer protection laws. Nothing ventured nothing gained...

Doing some quick math...it appears that if we are stuck with the 60K point limitation, it will cost about the same or be slightly cheaper to go through Expedia etc to book at Temptations. The only difference would be the room and a few of member perks.

The USA and Canada location is listed as Indiana but since it is considered a Canadian an. US business maybe you have a shot having Canada stand up for you. If any one of us gets resolution of this we will all benefit!

I think they are getting our message at Premier!!!
Any one else get this today
I have been informed by the Premier Customer Service Department that
    > you are experiencing problems with RCI and wish to cancel your membership.
    >
    > As you know, RCI made the decision to impose a limit of 60,000 points
    > per annum spent on RCI Points Partners.
    > While we don't fully understand the reasoning behind the decision, we
    > can only speculate it has to with the cost of flights due to fuel prices.
    >
    > Unfortunately, contractually RCI has the ability to alter the program at
    > anytime without any notice - and they have chosen to exercise that right
    > by restricting the ability to book flights for our members. However, we
    > are still able to fully accelerate your points, and you are still able
    > to use as many points as you wish on the thousands of accommodations and
    > benefits available to you under RCI.
    >
    > We have been vigorously working on having the 60k Points Partner cap to
    > be modified or lifted. Keep in mind any points our members use mean RCI is
    > obligated to fill our hotel with guests, so we have a vested interest in
    > restoring your program.
    >
    > Over the past few weeks, we have met with RCI several times and we feel
    > we have made our position and the position of our members known, and
    > while we still hope to reach an agreement - we are still awaiting RCI's
    > response. Please accept our sincerest apologies while we work with RCI
    > to resolve these issues.
    >
    > In the interim, many members are choosing to switch to our new program,
    > which relies less on the volatile airline industry and on outside
    > vendors and more on the hotels direct inventory. A general overview is
    > the member pays their own airfare, but their room and all inclusive for
    > two is paid when they return...additionally they have bonus studios each year
    > to use or rent. If this is of interest or you require further information about the new program,
    > please provide me with a daytime telephone number where I can reach you at your earliest
    > convenience.

    > I will continue to keep you posted as we await RCI's response.
    > Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or
    > our customer service team.

Well things appear to be looking a little brighter. As I said before, if they go with the free room & free AI & we pay for the airfare, it probably comes out about the same if not cheaper. Do you have a phone number and/or e-mail address for Claire? Thanks for pushing the envelope on this.

I have gotten this same e-mail, the last 20 times over the last month! It's a from letter, Try to respond to it, You will get the same thing again. I did however get an e-mail from a Lady named Claira, I think. She is the new Chris, She said he got a promotion to VP. And now she in charge. She told me that she has been in the sales dept. for 3 years. I don't remember seeing her but does not mean anything, She also told me she was aware of ME. Not sure how to take that one, But I have Bitched alot over the last 7 years. And the tattoo on my ass is a dead give away!!! As far as I know they have not gotten shit done! I'm still bitchen every day!!!

I like how they blame it on fuel costs. They control the program so if the flights are avg. out to be "x" amount now then it should just take "x" amount of points now (ie: $450 flight=75K in points or $500=85K in points or whatever). Fuel cost has nothing to do with the 60K cap, I call BS.

I do agree, it's all about profit margin. RCI may be loosing out, and has too many RCI points from Temptation which RCI can sale to its members. It's kind of fishy that Temptation has a new sales director in charge now.

Keep posting, this must be bad for Temptation Timeshare sales.

I also posted on here but have not been published or even promised to be published yet. There are some good ones on there. We haven't gotten the letter from the V.P. yet. Why is it when they give the boot to someone they always say they got promoted ?
