I'm not sure how it all works. I haven't talked to anyone that actually has switched. But from communications with Chirs and what he has told me and other members it seems like that is what there pushing members to do. I think Premier knows there stuck in a corner here and this AI fee for points program is there cheapest way out.

For people with points I guess the question would be how many points does it take to buy one person a one day AI fee? How much is a point roughly worth compared to a dollar? Won't surprise me if they twist it around again and you loose money doing this.

If anyone has info. on the points traded in for AI fees please share with everyone.

I really can't understand how RCI can limit us to 60K points when their "restructured" Points Partners Program published in their "2008 Value Guide" indicates that 200,000 points can be exchanged for a $1,750 discount on Points Partners charges. At that exchange rate, each point is worth .875 of a cent. In May RCI did state that you had to exchange points for discounts at whatever level is less than the charges incurred and pay whatever the balance is. I was even cool with that as long as I could use whatever amount of points I saw fit, when I wanted to. I too, am a Premier member that paid more than I could really afford and have over 8 million points at my disposal. Unfortunately, it appears I'm SOL because my membership was paid in full, so I cant even withhold payment for non compliance with our original agreement. When Chris first posted about the "new" package which gave AI fees instead of points, I emailed both him and Premier to find out what options I have. I asked for something in writing so I could compare what I have now (not much) to what they feel my current contract would be worth in AI fees. Needless to say, my request fell on deaf ears and I never received a response from anyone. I honestly believe that Premier owners either got Chris Oldroyd to "drink the Kool-Aid" or got rid of him because he was too much of an advocate for the Premier Members (as he should be). If anyone out there can give me some idea of what the new "replacement" contracts include, I'd really appreciate it. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be getting down to TTR until sometime early next year so I won't be able to have a face to face until then.

At least you CAN still go to TT. If you had withheld any of your payment you would be in the same position you are now AND unable to use any of your benefits! If you have 8 million points they must have gotten you for even more than me! Sorry! I think the only options we have is to raise holy hell with Profeco in Mexico to get them on Premiers case and the Attorney General in Indiana to get them on RCI's case. Individually we have absolutly no push with either one. We should each be writing a complaint to both of them.
I fully agree with you about Chris, they either shut him up or fired him for advocating for us and the same will happen to whoever they get to replace him. He promised me a refund for the useless lifetime membership to the rental program but he "disappeared" before I ever got it. Speaking of the rental program has ANYONE EVER been able to rent their extra bonus weeks? If so HOW!

I'm not sure if anyone ever got to rent anything out. My understanding was the rental agency they contracted out with promised things to Premier and in the end couldn't deliever. Many Premier members at Desire are really pissed off about the rental issues. My understanding from them is many of them bought into the program based on Premier selling the point to them that all they had to do was put extra weeks into the rental program, and in no time(year to three years) the rental program would pay for there whole timeshare. Well they all found out the rental program never worked and many are sitting there SOL with timeshare they can't afford or has taking them for much more money then they ever thought it would.

I think you point members should be knocking on RCI's door daily or weekly and get the real story from them. Then from there you know exactly where to point the anger. Eventually someone at RCI (since you know your not going to get any answers from Premier) needs to tell the truth weather it throws RCI or Temptations under the bus. Because my understanding is right now Premier is the only ones being limited on these points. So if you bought into RCI at say a resort in Florida and you had 5 million points or whatever your not limited by the 60K. To me that is B.S. and very unethical. I don't think RCI would have a prayer in a lawsuit to win. How could they even argue why there in the right to limit just Premier? I think Premier needs to step up and battle RCI also. Because if its RCI putting the clamps down like they say they are and RCI has seem to kind of admit it. Then Premier's name is being dragged through the mud for no reason. They shouldn't be happy either and since I'm sure they have lawyers on the payroll they should go after RCI. Instead it seems like everyone is just playing the he said she said game. All hoping the issues go away eventually (waiting game).

Are you saying RCI said there was no limit to the points you can use for a resort? Does that mean we CAN get more than 60,000 for a resort trade?... We went to hawaii this spring and needed 80K points for 2 bedroom . This was another thing that upset me at the 60K limit. We travel sometimes with other timeshare owners and they rent a week and we rent a week. 60K won't do it
They have a week time share instead of points and they were able to trade even. We both use the RCI credit card for airfare , but that just changed and you can't use the Credit card points for tickets, just discounts, (supposedly) we got better deal not using RCI... anyway are they saying the point limit is just for the points partner program?

I think that is what I read somewhere before.......if that is the case then they are in trouble...

I have filed a grievence in Indiana with RCI, dont know where it will go. I will be at TTR in a month and see what they say, but I know in my heart they are just going to tell me exactly what it is they think I need to hear to not be PO'd anymore.

I think Renee and 125 are right.....we need to bombard either RCI or Premier with complaints before we will hear or SEE any difference. Premier isnt going to do anything that will cost them money. But I will do my part at the resort, you better believe I will be at the sexy pool telling everyone I know NOT to buy into their scam!!! Of course it will just be my opinion....

They told me that the only restriction was on Premier Members using the points partner program. That we could use our points (as many as we wanted) for other resorts but we could only use 60,000 pts. for points partner .

I have been pestering the shit out of Temptations, I have sent at least 25 e-mails in the last 2 weeks and made 5 phone calls, to no avail. I keep getting the same form letter back everytime i send an e-mail. I truley don't think they are even reading them. I have been promised that a return call would be made, never happened. As far as Chris, I think they canned him. They may have put a gag order on him but this is just like when they canned Aaron and Ming. I know one thing.... No one there has any BALLS.

It's just so frustrating that people give them thousands of dollars and they can't even have the common courtesy to give anyone a call back or try to come up with a real solution.

I can't wait to hear what any of them tell you when your actually eye to eye with them. I can just hear the BS pouring out of their mouths already. I'm even more convinced that they are basically running under the tag line of we got your money so who cares at this point.

Should be interesting to see where this all goes in the future. But with all the people on this board with issues, Desire board with issues, and those members from Desire that started a Yahoo group. If we all banned together and started basically an anti Premier Website maybe that would get them to do something. Until it affects them from a $$$$ point there is no reason for them to worry about the members who they already got money from. I don't know maybe someone has a better solution. Class Action Law suit really seems to be a logical step if they are cherry picking us Premier members only with the 60K limit for the simple reason to many members are taking advantage of the program.

P.S.: I highly doubt writing to the Indiana whatever is going to resolve anything. When you think of how many people are peeved about RCI timeshares around the world I'm sure they get flooded with compliants on a monthly basis. Would be nice though it they took some time to look into the specfic issues Premier members are having because I think it a legit issue.

Has anyone heard from the Indiana Attorney General or Profeco about our complaint ? It's not just one of us that's been screwed it's anyone who's given them thousands of thier hard earned cash and signed a ligitimate contract (what a concept) the only thing ligitimate has been our complaints.
