WATCH OUT PREMIER MEMBERS

Hello Dave and Rosa! Who would have thought that a thread started over 4 years ago would still be alive. But who would have thought that Premier would still be doing us like this 4 years later. Even Viagra tells you to call a physician after 4 hours!

I hope you and Rose are well, still riding. I'm trying to burn up our nights at other resorts as Premier has nothing to offer us. We're using our nights in Panama City Fla this year. Taking the whole dang family for a week.

 

Hi Jim, hope you and Kathy are doing well. It is really unbelievable that Premier and RCI have not fixed this mess. Like you they have nothing to offer me, so I am done with it. I had two meetings with them after the change in programs and all they wanted me to do was give them more money!!

Fortunatley, we bought a very small package and were able to use nearly all my points on airfare before the change but I still have lots of nights left, but it looks like I can buy nights cheaper off the internet or through a travel agent than I can get through Premier. We want to take another trip to TTR soon, but I might just buy it off
the net instead of using the package I bought, Really stinks don't it?

Premier is being total pricks with our account. Even though we have over $30,000 invested they won't take a payment and have put my membership on hold for being a month late and have turned it over to collections in the US. To make it worse the bank that is in charge of collections has no record of us so I can't pay them either. I even offered to pay Premier the $6000 balance and they wont take it. Don't let them get you too:icon_frown:

 

Hate to break on the negativity here....

But I bought online, last summer, and feel i got a pretty good deal.

I was in the 5k range, and get three weeks per at $112.00 per night plus annual Mexican CPI (which they actually rounded down)

I also have the right to exit the program at any time....

I feel bad for people that clearly got screwed, but Im not sure this program is bad if its negotiated correctly....

But for me, those negotiations DID NOT include alcohol.

You all have me really worried and conflicted. I have RCI, Weeks NOT Points. I refused to convert. Having said that, RCI seems really good. We are planning on using a week exchnge and heading down in June '12 for $73/night per person. That plus exchange fee is about $1100 for the week per cpl. That seems really good. When I called they said its for a Jaccuzzi room since Im a Gold Weeks holder.

Has anyone gone down with RCI weeks and gotten hosed(In the bad way) by RCI when they arrived?

Short story of why many are angry:

What most people got hosed on is for a period of about a year Temptations/Premier where selling packages with millions of RCI points to people. Telling them to use it on airfare, AI fees, etc. etc.. Well people started doing that and RCI realized this can't continue to do that as it would cost them money. So RCI capped the amount of points they could use each year on some items like airfare. Well it became apparent that people who had millions of points couldn't use them all up in a lifetime.

 

Does that include flight, or just your stay?

 

Just for the stay, I have to buy airfare seperate.

 

OHcpl and gowick I am so happy you are satisfied with what you negotiated for your contracts. If you are still happy in 5 years that would be great.

Gowick, since I have no idea who you are, and since you are such a great sober negotiater please, try to exit your contract and see what happens.

I had a nice contract and as nmarks stated, RCI changed the rules three years later when they realized they weren't making enough money on my contract.

You aren't being negative, you just haven't been screwed by RCI....... yet.
