I'm going as the guest of a Premier member so the timeshare issues are not my concern. I read one post that said the only difference between a regular guest and a Premier member is 4 upgraded dinners and canned Dos Equis. Is that the truth or an exaggeration? What can I expect? What will be different once I check in other than the different color of wrist band?
regular people can book as many a la cartes as they can. Two days in advance waiting in line. (get three couples and take turns) versus picking up the phone for premier upgrading to drops of love package gives you this advantage.and more Ive seen premier members have their personal waiter buy the pool ,, Regular , the pool service was great last dec/jan (just tip) .Thanks Suzanna. ps you don't get to use the yaught you get to hire the yaught to each his own if you want the better rooms and private beach area, which is always empty anyway, freaken waste,then go ahead we won't hold it against you. Thanks for the info. It will be my first trip there so I wont know the difference between Premier and regular until I go back as a regular. Just thought I'd ask since people in this thread seem to think Premier is full of empty promises.
They try to get you drunk and throw in a bunch of stuff that sounds good but they know you will never use. In fact they don't want you to use it because it costs them money. Like six weeks a year of which the most I ever use is 4. They say you can sell weeks but package deals online are cheaper. I wouldn't do it again the $40,000 I have in it isn't worth the few extra perks.
Wow $40,000 sounds like alot of money to me for what you got. Not sure how long ago you bought yours but we bought into ours last Sept. and the prices have gone down alot in the last year.We bought 2 weeks a year and they gave us one bonus week plus 80,000 points a year for $10.000 . It works out well for us because we love to go to Desire and now Temptation for our vacations and use the points for another week to travel with the kids or use them for flights, car rentals. or cruises. Its definately not for everyone but it works well for us.
Fast Reservations is a joke, Im a member and it just took 2 weeks to get my reservations confirmed!!!!!!!!!
You guys are getting a much better deal, we spent 25k, which at the time was a good deal cause we had millions of points we could fly on for 98 bucks a flight no matter where we went, then RCI stoped that, and now we have millions of points we cant use in our life time, and premier did nothing to help off set our lost
Cant you guys use the points for other resorts? They gave us 80 thousand a year and can use them for alot of resorts including Temptation and Desire.I believe a week at Temptation is like 20 thousand in the low season.
We use the points for RCI exchanges and we did get a better price this year as a member vs other online deals etc. I think you can only use 60,000 pts for airfare
Check out the new member only site...we as members can book cheaper deals at TTR on almost every site or travel agent than what Premier is now offering members. Once again we are being bent over the table and taking it in the a** My two cents on this... Scott
