we bought 3 Visa cards in 2009 (you can buy 3 per calander year) I did get the cards and have used those cards to buy a new camera. $600 in gift cards was well worht giving them 60,000 points + $102 to process. My net gain was $498.

Has anyone else been able to access the points partner web page online? Since the beginning of the year we can not access the Points partner web site to purchase Airfare, car rentals, activites tickets, guest passes or Visa Gift cards. Is it just me or is everyone having problems?

    Mike,
Thanks for the info on the cards. I was able to purchase $600 worth today. $102 service charge is a bit exhorbitant but it's better than not getting anything for the points. I did notice that the offer for the cards is only good till 1/31/10.

If this is such a good package then why are you trying to get rid of it ? Apparently you haven't read a single post on this forum about how we have all been taken for thousands of dollars and yet you come on here wanting us to buy your timeshare :icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol:

Did you buy the Visa cards online? These are prepaid cards? Please send more info on this program thanks?

Can you use these Visa's online? What if the item was $400 online?

Got the cards on RCI.com Points Partners page. I'm not sure how you would go about making a $400 purchase online using them because most websites allow you to put only one credit card number when checking out. These only come in amounts of $150 or $200 each and you can purchase a maximum of three.

and you can make the purchase right online for these cards? Is there a list of other uses of the points through the different vendors?

You can use these cards anywhere VISA is accepted. YOu can buy up to 3 per calander year in ADDITION to using your points to purchase airfare. So in total you can use 120,000 max per year with the points partner program.

Here is how I break down the visa cards and justify the purchase:
1 card for $200 - 20,000 points + $34 processing fee nets me $166 total cash X 3 cards per year = $498 per year x 22 years remaining on contract for a grand total of $10,956. If RCI continues this program I will get back 1/2 the cost I paid for the timeshare originally just by using the VISA cards. SOmething is better then Nothing. At this point I am utalizing EVERY advantage I can to use points and get the most out of the program since we got scammed by Premier. Somehow some way I will recoup my money.

Claire isn't seeming to want to make a price adjustment for my upcoming stay. I have been very persistent. Any recommendations? I just dont want to pay too much more for a trip when my membership should allow me to pay less.
