I printed off the quote page from Funjet and sent in a copy of the quote as a reply to the confirmation pricing.

So, if I understand this right - If we were Premier Members it would cost us $278/night to go in May 2010?? Meanwhile Expedia would give me an Oceanview for $276/night? Not in the old Section B but still an Oceanview. Wow.

A Premier member would be able to get the Capacity Controlled rate of $222.40 if it were available, and it should be, or 20% less than the Expedia rate whichever is less.

Pardon my confusion with Premier and thier policy concerning member rates...but why the f*ck are we limited to capacity controlled rooms and rates when after all we did pay them to stay in those rooms at reduced rates in the first place. Just a thought on my part...

I don't mind doing a bit of leg work to get a further 20% off a published rate but I am pissed about having to do it because the member rates are much higher than the offerings by almost all travel sites / agencies.

Why do I have a sneaking suspicion that Premier will close that loop hole and quickly at that, to 20% off Premier's published "public" rates?

So much for the kiss, reach around and KY...

    Scott

P.S. I know I broke my promise not to rant any more but...

P.P.S. We do really love TTR, the people we have met there, the staff, the atmosphere etc but with the new pricing and the money already spent on a contract that is not doing much of anything for us any more it does not make much financial sense.

I have no idea what happen to the above post , but what I said was that I recieved an email from Claire today that sounded like it was 20 percent off their pulbished prices, Don, who writes here often, emailed Norma and she said the same thing. I also asked Claire if Bert was involved in anyway and she said he was not, the resort has total control of it now. She also said the rates where based on the surounding resorts rates. I just know if we have to pay 222 dollars a night for us to go in May, we will go else where. After all Mario and all of us are what make the resort fun! not the management of resort! Terry

I call BS on the resort prices around them.

You can go on RCI and get the AI fees for members of other resorts. Last few times I did it for Cancun. I can tell you there fees aren't anywhere near in line with what is out there. In fact some true high end resorts that cost $500+ a week more to go too then Temptations per a person booked through a third party had AI fees that at the time where only like $15 more per a person per a day. Many and I mean most resort that where similar or better fell cheaper then Temptations AI fee.
