funny they showed the cigar bar and no one ever gets to use it! I couldnt hear it, RCI most likely still has tons of rooms available because of all the points we used in the past. Terry

    Hi Handyman,

Do you have point limitation in your new Tempation account? Did RCI impose a limit on how many points you could use when you purchased airline ticket with points from your new Temptation account? Can you still transfer points from your old membership, after you renewed your membership to this new account?

    Thanks,

according to RCI all members have point restrictions. They just limit the Premiere members to 60,000 points per account not per user. This is due to Premier undervaluing the points at the time of purchase. Members were given a "great" deal with points until RCI caught on to what Premier was doing and how the members were using the points.

All NON-Premiere members with RCI can use 33% of there points for points partner purchases up to a maximum of 240,000 per year.

I got two tickets earlier this year on my new account that used up 90,000 and I just got another that was 55,000 so there is no limitation on my new account. I don't know about transfering pts. but I have 295,000 in my old account that expires in May

Handyman, Please let me know how your doing this. If this is true that your using points to buy airfare using unlimited points we would like to know who your talkign to and what you did to upgrade your account.

I contacted Claire again yesterday. Its been three weeks since I emailed her regarding our account. I think 3 weeks in enough time to get a handle on whats going on and to come up with a game plan to start working with existing members to rectify there ongoing issues.

    Inquiry made to Claire

Here is Claire Wrights reply to the email I sent her yesterday regarding our membership. I will give her time to work with managment to try and resolve the issues and come up with a plan to assist exsiting members. I have to beleive she is working to try and make us happy and resolve our issues. If a month goes by without word from Claire this wouldnt sit well with me so I will be staying on top of this for sure.

    Dear Mike,

Thanks for the mail. I had not forgotten about you but am presently hanging on as I am involved currently in several meetings to see how we can resolve these issues in a way that is agreeable to both parties. We are looking over rates and benefits etc and I promise you that as soon as I have some definate answers I will be in touch with you.

I do remember the basics of your issues bit of course if you have the original complaints it will be useful for me to be able to look over them aswell. I have been working with our service Department and we are currently putting together a news letter that will be mailed out to all members to give them some updated information and update them of any changes..... a practice which we plan to continue in the future!!

I will be in touch with you very soon.

    Kindest Regards
    Claire Wright

Bernie told me there is no point limitation on the new contracts. All I know is when I call RCI and give my old contract number I am switched over to someone who handles Blue Bay accounts. When I give my new number everything procedes as normal.

    Handyman,

Will you share with us, how many points do you get a year with your new contract? My previous question abougt transfer points was, can you still get points transfer to your BlueBay RCI account?

Thanks so much for sharing this info with us.
