I have no intentions of giving Premier any more money. Thats set in stone. Ive made that clear from the beginning. With the De La Pena family now controlling the membership program its no longer a third party membership. They can change the AI fees to fall in line with what is fair if they so choose. They are no longer paying Bert 40% of the fees collected. This should give them some leverage to reduce AI fees. Time will tell if this is something they are willing to do.

I really hope they do look closely at the AI fees. Based on other resorts in the area(according to RCI's website) Temptations should fall into that $68 to $82 tops area depending on the time of year. Desire I'm not sure what would be reasonable, it's a very niche resort.

I really think the AI fees will determine long term how many happy members they will have or the willness of members to switch contracts or renew contracts in the future.

    watch out members.

$62 per person per day is still too much, when you consider the 10 of thousand of dollars we paid for the membership.

I will have a better chance to see flying pig, first.

$62 a day with the ability to use unlimited points like our contracts state, would be a fair price IMO

The resort has always set the AI fees not premier, Premier has little or no say so in the AI fees. If you consider what a non-member pays for a room plus AI fees they are going for a lot less than we are. We do get better rooms but really nothing else, but most of us paid many $$$ for those rooms and we are paying in AI fees what most non-members are paying for a room and AI fees! You may have notice a lot of deals for non-members over the last few months but none for premier members! When I wrote and ask about why are there no deals for premier , they responded that we could go for any of their adverised prices.( I am sure they will find some way not to honor that statement)Terry

Yes you can go for the same price as those advertised deals, they just don't give you any of your benefits including ocean view room. you get just what those going on the advertised rate get so you might as well go on their rate. At least some of those actually throw in trip insurance. which I wish I had now, having to cancel due to my husbands emergency surgery!

RCI is promoting All-Inclusive resort, check this out.

After you get the TV, click on All-inclusive resort, and scoll down to Adult only, and Temptation resort.

We were ther that evening when the camera crew was filming.

    Re: watch out members.

Very true if you don't consider the points you got. That is where Premier has to address the people with the millions of points. They screwed over the members and RCI. They need to find a remedy for it that doesn't cost members more money.

AI fees at pretty much any resort run higher then $60 a day. Before all these points the program was fairly inexpensive, most members paid between 4K to 7K for about 30 weeks and no maintenance fee. Plus you actually had some real world perks that mattered. So back then it was quite easy to get your money out of the program. Plus the AI fees where down around $55 to $65 or so depending on the time of year. So a couple could easily go for a week with flight from most mid to larger cities in that $1400 to $1700 range depending on your flight cost. But over all you could save a good $500 to $800 on each trip compared to the avg. rates of any website or travel agent.

I just booked another trip for Nov. 2 -8. I still have 314,000 pts. in my old RCI account that has the point limitation so I got one ticket with that one and another ticket with my new account that has 150,000 pts. But they couldn't do both at one time. I had to book one and then call back and go through it all over again and that means the two tickets probably won't be seated together. I didn't book the room yet because I have to get caught up on payments before they will talk to me.
