FEBRUARY 13TH WILL BE OUR 4TH TRIP TO CANCUN AND THIRD TO TEMPTATIONS AND WE WILL NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE WE WAS KINDA QUIET FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS THEN WHEN WE BECAME MORE OUTGOING WE REALLY HAD A BLAST BUT WE ALWAYS GO IN FEBRUARY WE ARE MEETING ABOUT 20 PEOPLE FROM CANADA,KANSAS AND MO AND NEW FRIENDS WE HAVE MET ON HERE FROM ALASKA SO I THINK I WOULD GIVE IT ANOTHER TRY.:mnm::flash:
we have gone in dec. & had a total Blast, although it was a little harder to meet people around the sexy pool because water was a bit cool & everyone was not in the pool like U find them in april/may & sept. U have to give it another chance, try & go dif. time of the year
We have been to resorts all over Cancun, and now only go back to Temptations. Same as others, went down knowing no one, and left with friends that we've kept in contact through the years and meet down there every year...Last year we went down for 10 days (split trip) and stayed the first 3 days at the "Me Cancun" We wanted to stay on the ocean side and play in the waves for a few days. It was a mistake, the ME was so boring there were like 5 people at the pool bar everyday, and everyone pretty much stayed to themselves.. The only fun was the beach (would be awesome if Temptations was on the ocean side). Other than that we couldn't wait to get over to Temptations. As soon as we got there we met some fun couples an hour after being at the pool bar, Thats when we knew we were home...:lotsofmichaelfs:
I usually go down on my own and have a blast...I'm not afraid to talk to people at the sexy pool and make friends quickly. :icon_lol: The second time I went down, the airline lost my luggage. I was determined to enjoy myself, so I went to the pool bar for a drink while I waited for my room to be ready and met some great people. I started talking to a woman who turned out to be a earth-angel who was leaving to go home to Edmonton. After only talking to her for a short time, she loaned me a bunch of clothes just in case I didn't get my luggage...Wow! I have met friends that I consider some of my closest friends still! And I've brought my sister and her husband down who love it too! Try it again and put yourselves out there abit. Talk to strangers...you could be doing them a favour too!
I think it helps getting on this forum before you go and posting your pix. We did and people recognized us and we had a blast. I am the shy type and my husband is some what shy but he made more of an effort and we are still in contact with people we meet the first year.
Been there 8 times and every trip is a blast. We have been there in december and there is alot of Canadians and people from England at that time of year. We had the best time that New Years Eve. It was one of our best trips. Sorry to hear you didn't meet any people.
We were at the resort from Dec 13-24th and found the week of Dec 13th amazing and we met tons of great people and had a blast! It took weeks to get our voices back. The second week the crowd seemed to change along with the weather. It got cold and rainy. It seemed the crowd got younger nearer to Christmas and the mood was more low key since there was not as much fun pool games. After 8 days of full out partying we needed the downtime but i felt bad for those who showed up on the 19th.
We were there the 11-17th and had a blast! I know if you were at the sexy pool, you probably talked with my husband. I believe they nicknamed him Big Country by the end of the trip. He likes to talk and I played sand volleyball. Lots of friendly people when we were around the pool. The hotel was so over booked that they were sending people to their sister resort.
It was good meeting the two of you and we enjoyed talking and hanging. As a first timer, don't hesitate the "hang out" with anyone that your recognize from this board. Everyone had a first trip, plus most of the cancuncare members are pretty social and enjoy sharing a drink and a laugh.
