this was my thought. Perhaps someone coming up from the beach right there. Also, who wears a mask while they are there?
7325[/QUOTE] 7325 yikes! Know it well. Too close for comfort. And across from all the Playmakers and the Director Office. Also very close to Score rear door. If someone entered or exited your first floor balcony there are atleast 2 cameras that point in that direction and should have caught it. Also cameras in the hallway.
Ok. We had one of the jacuzzi rooms once that was at the far end by the beach but facing the far end of the quiet pool. Every morning there were families standing out side the room waiting for some tours or water sports. I think they got a eye-full every morning I opened the shade! Anyway, that room was a very short distance from the beach and a lot of random people around there.
I was the person on the Facebook page who had this issue with the phone being stolen. I was literally sick when I thought my stuff was gone. Thankfully we recovered our phone but not the pool bag. I hate it for you and best of luck getting the situation remedied to your satisfaction. Everyone asks what can be done… I have a very simple solution to start with: Throw the damn thiefs out, evict them from the premises immediately. After our phone was recovered from our room, I later saw two of the responsible individuals at Bash. I assume The other individual was prob still passed out in bed and that’s why they were not evicted. Regardless, after we left management never attempted to contact me, offer an apology or anything. With my experience, and others that have been posted here, the only logical conclusion that the resort ( management) values the rights and patronage of a group of thiefs over honest people. ( and yes, I had to swear to my wife I would not take the situation onto my own hands, I’m sure security would have had no problem throwing me out for doing so) I think if the resort cared any bit at all about their guests, they would not have allowed those individuals to stay on the property. Everyone please take care of your stuff.
Something weird happened to our in-room safe a few months ago, we could not open it the next day after breakfast. I asked the wife if maybe she had pressed the wrong combination incorrectly a few times but she said she always sets it up with the same combination as our luggages so there was no way she could have pressed it incorrectly.
They may have the next day. Idk. Prob not. I doubt they would throw an unconscious guy out on the street.
Stepping in here briefly to say I'm sorry to hear about the theft. We've all left things out we shouldn't have. You did not deserve to be robbed. You should not have been robbed. Full stop. You absolutely have to get resolution before you leave the resort. They will not acknowledge your problem after the fact except to say: "come back, it'll be better next time". There is no escalation point, and unless you're a Mexican citizen you'll find no recourse through the law. Original does a great job profiling guest preferences and has good staff, but resorts are a high-volume business. You might be memorable, but your patronage is easily replaced by millions spent on marketing that'll drown any negative comments. I hope you find some resolution that way. And definitely lean on your travel insurance. They cover some really random stuff!
