After visiting another resort 90 minutes south last week I have a new found appreciation for how Original Resorts creates a culture where their employees are so very much customer focused. This culture I am sure is a result of... 1) rules with consequences for not following and 2) rewards to encourage the wanted behavior. Based on the service we have received at all 3 Original Resort resorts it seems to be working. Do we hate to see favorites terminated? absolutely. Are we qualified to judge whether it was warranted? definitely not. Do we think the service is so amazing due to the culture they created? most definitely. End result is nothing wrong with being upset a favorite is gone. But I really appreciate the customer friendly environment that Original Resorts has built that makes Temptation, Desire RM and Desire Pearl so special.
We've had great service every time we've been. 1 thing I think gets lost is.....rules are rules, and if the policy is if you come to work drunk, etc, you are terminated, that's the rule. Do you draw the line at 1 employee, or will the service suffer, someone get hurt etc. if 10 employees show up for work hammered? I have a feeling people are lined up for those jobs cause I'm guessing the tips are WAY larger at TTR than at most vanilla resorts on the strip, and you know that word gets around. Is it bad when that stuff happens, yes, but I'm pretty sure each employee knows the result of doing what they do, and their replacement darned sure wants to make sure the guests are happy. :sunny:
I was thinking these same thoughts just this morning. This will be our 5th trip this May and in all of those trips there have always been different staff (both servers and entertainment). There was even a period of time (I think over 2 of our trips) where Sara 69 wasn't there. But we still had a GREAT time and made a lot of new friends. Yes, the staff is a good part of TTR but in my opinion not the central focus - it's the people who go there. We love knowing that when we go at the end of May we'll probably know at least 30+ people (if not more). That's what TTR is most about!
Been going for 11 years, and cant wait to go again in May. Every time I hear somebody has been let go, or left on their own, I say this trip is gonna suck. And it never has. The atmosphere around the pool and games changes from trip to trip. Sometimes the staff drank during games, sometimes they didn't. Sometimes nudity, sometimes off limits. I'm glad to see people are passionate about the resort. But if things didn't change from my first trip, I wouldn't know Eme or Sara. New people will come along, and do the same great job we're used to.
really ? Nothing beats that feeling when you walk in and Jose says welcome back with a smile, ( cause he actually remembers you),, or half the bartenders remember what you were drinking 6 months ago and so on.,, not to mention Diana, and a bunch of other waiters. You have a feeling of coming home,, they are taking some of that feeling away every time they fire someone. If that feeling makes me shallow and selfish in your little mind, well you have more issues then me .
Did you read this Donald? I am not saying the staff and regular staff is not awesome! My point is the over the years staff does change and they will bust there ass to make us feel great, but people who say there not going back because one or two staff members move on don't get the fact that the repeaters and the atmosphere are why repeaters keep coming back again and again!
Was responding to this ''While the recent staff dismissals have gotten shallow/selfish minded people in a tizzy Im in a tizzy,, and was explaining why . Don't need to be told not to . Just because one is upset does not mean we don't know the people /gusts matter too , its a package deal . Talking about one issue doesn't mean the other is bad too
One thing is for sure when we all get a Temptation we will all do tequila shots together Sent from my SM-G870W using Tapatalk
