I am very positive - some say too positive but time will tell. For years people have moaned abut the 'run down facilities', I see no reason for the vibe to change at all - we can just enjoy it in more elegant surroundings Well, funny you should say. There was a flurry of emails a couple of weeks a go and we have had to tone that down. We still kind of do it but we don't come as close to the beach.
We are the same. We saw ourselves spending more and more time at Desire unless something was done. Closing for 10 months sucks, but this came at a good time for us. I wish it would have happened after our October trip though. But in 2017 we were planning on doing something else in the spring and the fall that didn't include TTR (couples cruise and Fantasy Fest).

What they said, just said much better than I would have. I think the reality is that most of us don't want to pay the extra money, but if it means 3 less meals out that year so be it. We are all in too deep to give up, I love the people we meet here, its great the resort is getting the much needed facelift, I just wish the upper management would appreciate that us loyal followers are what make the resort great. I have been 10 times now and the resort could care less. Lets hope the upgrades include some respect for the guest
I am still mixed on it. I agree the resort does need a face lift but shutting down for that long are they going to damage the people aspect of this place. I have looked around trying to find a place like this unsuccessfully. We will have to see when it reopens if the people and atmosphere we all love is still here.
I really feel if the fun people come back it will be what it was, if not better! The way it will fail is if everyone thinks it won't be fun and stays away and only newbies come who have never know the TTR way to party. I say we all give it a chance.
Original Blue Bay Getaway couple here who found this resort by luck many years ago! We voted unhappy because we like the simple things Temptation always offered. If we want upscale we know where to go. We just always enjoyed the friendly down to earth vibe our little resort always had. Sure, we want new curtains, comfy beds and mold free rooms. I suppose I'm worried a snooty new tourist class will discover our resort. A bunch of lookers. I hope I'm wrong. Give us a beach bungalow vibe anytime! All we ever wanted was a palm tree outside the patio, breakfast in the morning with mamoassa's, and a chair by the pool. Heck with multi level and high rent.
