4. I'm Happy !!! Love the Place as it is but it was getting tired and rough around the edges so it needed an Update.... Will be awesome when it's finished.... Janet Kranz posted her Showroom and it looked awesome... Can't wait to try the New Improved Temptations when it reopens. [emoji41][emoji1417]
Voted- happy Sad to see the old TTR go lots to greats memories but looking forward to the facelift either way the Sosa's are coming back I'm just glad it happening after my anniversary. Lol June 26 to July 6
What she said, spot on. Happy but nervous. Will add, As members my main concern is being able to still afford multiple trips per year after remodel and if I had to bitch about one thing it would be the way it was handled and not having info and a plan for members and referral weeks, typical bait and switch.
Some other resort will steal this concept and staff before TTR ever closes.........if enough of us head to "that" resort over the next 2 years this new TTR will fail miserably! And if you really believe Premier can do this in 10 months.........well.................we think it'll be closer to 2 years. I feel for Steve and Janet .......this site and Boobs Cruises will be difficult to sustain in the interim. That alone will be a HUGE blow to TTR. We hope Steve can find a viable way to keep all of this alive until the re-opening!
That's correct: the 2 pools will be connected, the existing Embarcadero will become the New Paty'O (indoor) while the buffet restaurant will be on the top. the 10 storey building will be in place of the existing block 2.
This is exactly how I see it as well. Most of the original rooms remain and this is a new addition taking over the current lobby and all the rooms around Paty-Os. I think it will be beautiful.
I (Andrew) voted happy but I'm really wrestling with voicing my reasons as they are many and seemingly contradictory. I'm in my early 50'a and Ali is several years younger but we are at a place in our lives where if it goes up a $100 or so a night we could still manage but maybe only one trip a year. We've brought friends on two occasions, both times we had the "it's showing its age but it's the people" chat. In reality it was in real need of a facelift. Badly. I love the people we've met, that being said there are some groups I could do without. If it prices out some of the groups of single guys (bachelor parties, not ALL single guys) and takeover groups I would not shed a tear. Elitist perhaps but I'm too old to put up with jackasses. I sometimes think the community here has outgrown the resort. Meaning we are close and friendly and put up with the resort now in spite of its flaws. In all honesty the friends I have in my city that go to the resort would not be ones I'd recommend it to based on it being rundown compared to their lovely homes. I hope I'm not offending anyone as for once that was not my intention. I don't think Ali completely shares my opinions as she is worried it will change and we will lose the people we love, both those we've met in person and those we know only from here that we hope to meet in the future. Times are interesting.
