Oh no !! I agree that repeaters should only be using referral weeks, I think that newbies shouldn't have to go through the presentation at all, I think the presentations should be for repeaters, they at least know if they love the place and will return. Not sure about the scamming? I'm happy that we got to use referral weeks twice before making the decision, and that is after many other trips.
This is Sam. On a serious note, if this is for you, more power to ya! We love going to TTR and will continue to come 2x annually as long as we continue to have fun. If/when we don't enjoy it, we'll go somewhere else. I could care less about the price, the perks, etc. The reason that I have no interest is that I hate commitment, especially when it comes to fun. I'm committed to Sindy, that's all. Even with her, it's not a "tied to me" commitment, but just an "I'll always be there" commitment. If it gets to the point that TTR becomes a two-class society, it will no longer be the special place that it is (regardless of which class you are in) and it will lose its appeal, to us. So, we'll continue to pay as we go.
We have been several times using members weeks years ago but this is the first time that we have used a "referral" week. We have skipped all the previous presentations as well but going to this one since it makes a difference for the member now. Not going to comment on the member/non-member issue exactly but have met some in both groups that thought their shit didn't stink. But that was out of the norm in my 13 trips.
As long as you red bands stay out of the members only bacon, everything will be just fine and no one gets hurt... LOL :daveandmo:
You're right...and I didn't mean to imply the couple benefits I pointed out were the bulk of the membership package. I didn't word that very well. I know that many on here are getting the most of their memberships. You made some excellent points in your post, Jeff.
