I hope I'm not stirring up a hornet's nest, but I would rather get good Mexican food (chips and guacamole, chorizo, etc.) than American food when I'm in Mexico.
Valentina: I'm not sure how much you can say regarding a third party travel agent, but does GOV honor the reservations make by guests using Groupon. Is there anything in the "fine print" that we need to be aware of. Hate to get there and find out Groupon guests have to wash dishes or rake the beach each morning !!! just kidding !!! They are considerably cheaper!!!
Valentina/Adriana If you're reading this, please hold our room.........we're still coming.......I guess planes don't like -52 wind chills either lol. After a day on and off the plane and sorting out alternate plans, we now know that a 740pm flight to Toronto and a 630am flight to Cancun should get us to a cold drink at GOV by about 11am.........it is what it is........just get us there lol. As far as the checkout time why wouldn't you just go to the airport early and spend time there for free instead of paying to sit at the hotel?
After you check out, you can sit in the lobby and have a drink at the lobby bar. You are not allowed to leave the lobby area unless you pay more. If you are caught by security without a bracelet on, you will escorted back to the lobby.
Was just looking at rebooking through Priceline. A really good rate for April, but it says you "Pay When You Stay". Ive never done that, and it seems that may make it easier for GOV to bump us since we havent paid upfront. Anyone else ever done this? Also, would I have to pay in Pesos or US $$$?
