It depends on your situation. We traded a timeshare we were not using with them. Granted the one we traded was more valuable, but we went from a $800 yearly fee that was steadily increasing to essentially none. We were happier than a dog with two d!cks to trade! And the perks are pretty good. However, not good enough that I would have bought in.
We are in the same boat...couldnt beat the price, only thing is looks like we will have to miss the booze cruise.
Hmmmm, I just finished posting in another post about this...We bought the membership last October and we were able to use it immediately for the discounts and perks. We felt it was well worth the money so far..we just booked our next vacation to Cancun (we bought the membership in Cabos) and we are actually getting a good deal on the room. We also get free transfers to and from aiport, discounted excursions, massage, etc...When we added up what we saved in Cabos it was actually not bad! And we als odid not have to wake up early to save chairs lol..they had those saved for us already Plus you get an extra menu at dinner to choose other items if you'd like...Again, to us, it was/is worth it...we also get a free week as long as your membership is paid up 50% ...so that right there is GREAT
I also agree that this is not as simple as people say on here. So far, I am happy with my membership that I bought last year. Now, I went 4 times before buying, and im a little more analytical than I would like to be, at times. Only time will tell in the long run, whether or not this purchase was good, but in one year I have paid for 20% of the membership, vs. what i would have paid on alpharooms.
Mental note, it is NOT an hour. We've sat through these things just to get the free stuff at a few different resorts including TTR and it ruins 3 hours so get it done EARLY in the morning.
Are you crazy? Miss the Boobs Cruise for that? Why? You should be able to go through the presentation whenever it is good for you. That's the way it usually works anyways.
Is it worth looking at buying a timeshare from someone who is dumping theirs? there seem to be a few on the market that can be had for less than 5K.
