I recently had back surgery and have metal hardware in my back. I am wondering if anyone knows if I will have any trouble going in and out of the United States/Mexico. The only proof I have of this are the scars and a cheesy business card type of thing from the clinic where this was done. Does anybody have any suggestions?

    Thanks!

You won't have any problems. The worst that will happen is that they will wand you a lil closer or ask you to lift your shirt.

I had back surgery 5 years ago and have alot of hardware also. I have never had a problem. I was told my hardware is titaniumn not metal.
LOL I ask for a card or something after surgery, Dr. said if they ask just show them the scars. Guess I better not wear a dress to the airport. LOL
    Hope this helps.
