We were lucky and got the jacuzzi room free of upgrade charge because they didn't have us a room when we got there. They told us to go by desk the next morning after we got there and they would let us know if we could keep room. So I went up there with a smile and said we love the room and could we stay in it. They at 1st mentioned upgrade charge but then said since they didn't have a room when we got there they wouldn't charge. However only used jacuzzi twice because we had so much fun outside of room.
The first time we went we had a room right away. The second time we had to wait about three hours. No problem, we were prepared for that, grabbed our swim gear out of our bags and went to the sexy pool without a care in the world. We try to keep the mindset that we are on vacation and not to let the little things ruin the bigger picture.
We are not members and have been 6 times. We have never felt like we were treated any less important and have always been happy with our room!
I think sometimes people don't realize check-in time is listed as 3 PM...like most hotels. I've gotten in before noon and listened to people go ballistic because they have to wait for a room. Put a suit on...get a drink and have some lunch.
Anyone know offhand what the up-charge would be from a Deluxe Ocean View to a jacuzzi suite? We're going at the end of Sept. and after reading a few posts about them I thought it might be nice to try one.
We've been 6 times and are not memebers, we have asked for the same room every time and have gotten it, sometimes with a day delay. No big deal. Never had issues with the front desk, they have always accomodated us in every way.
We just upgraded our room through travel solutions, very easy. It cost $250.00 all together for the 8 nights. Very reasonable and easy to do.
