Link to Kims USA Today story. http://www.usatoday.com/travel/news/2007-08-20-mexico-prepares-for-dean_N.htm Not much of a quote there, but that same reporter did that to me after Wilma. Nice link to the blog though. Steve
Are you still there? stupid question, but I wanted to know if the power went out. I know, I know, if you reply its because it has not
If you look at the 11pm EST data at the NHC, we have a 0% chance of 50 knot winds reaching Cancun. 20% chance of winds between 34 and 50 knots. What's we're getting now is probably as bad as it'll get for us. Considering what we got from Wilma and how long we got it for, this isn't going to do much damage to Cancun. The sun will be out tomorrow, and we can put everything back together and get on with it.
Noticed a couple of brownouts early on, but nothing since. If the power does go out, I have batteries and a generator, so as long as the phone line or cable internet stays on, I'm here.
Hang tough Drewbert. i like your attitude. Ill tell you what, Ill be back, I am going to Walmart to buy some last minute things for my trip on Wednesday to CANCUN!!! cya soon
And I'll be driving over! I dont want to speak too soon, but there's really not much happening. right now. Unless it a far off generator I think I can hear a helicopter out there.
