Greta there's webcams on the hurricane blog. See the link at the top of the page there. The blog site is down at the moment. It's receiving 3,500 hits an hour and the account I have it on can't cope with the sheer volume. It's being moved to a dedicated server as we speak. Have also just been contacted to say the interview I did is going to be rebroadcast more widely in the US:
oh let's see them interview you after another night on the town with me, Mr. Steven Wright...lol good job
Just leaving work now so wont be back online until tomorrow wanted to say good luck and I'll be thinking of you all in Cancun.
I think we're about an hour or two away from an outer band hitting us and it appears to have a lot of rain in it. The rain might hit us or between here and PM. So it's time to bring the washing in, kiddies.
Best of luck all. I am watching this thing like a hawk. Today was the first day of vacation for me. However, my job for the next two days, is to follow Dean's every move, and to keep getting info from CancunCare and the blog... Hope power is not lost. See you all in Cancun on Wednesday.... Steve/ E-Plus, Be ready to book my private trips to Chichen and Xel-Ha....... having faith is priceless.....
lol, will be watching this evening, you all tighten everything down and hang in there! Hopefully its not to bad!
Have just done a pre-recorded intreview for the BBC. It will be going out on the Radio 4 programme "The World Tonight, which starts at 10pm UK time. My bit is around 10:15pm. Went to the HZ today to see how things were, very quiet. I did see a few tourists including some milling about near BBG. Sun was shining and sea was as blue as ever. The beach is Playa Marlin behind Plaza Kukulcan, enear the Tucanacun and Villas Marlin. Check out the Sr Frogs pic.
