It's Mexico. I bet there will be plenty of negative tests available for a small fee. The kids with the backpacks on the beach will probably have them. LOL
It's just an extra option, nothing bad about having more options. No, they just don't let you board the plane. Same as a passport check, they won't check your bags until you're verified to fly.
Not sure that’s needed. From the Facebook pages, over 300 test at the three resorts were done and all negative. I find that a little interesting. That and the fact that it isn’t easy to get a rapid test in the US but every hotel somehow has one.
So we went in December and I just told work I was going on vacation and didn't say where. I have a work phone and just turned it to cellular only. I did get a negative test when I got back just for my own piece of mind. Had covid in July and not sure how long immunity lasts. Hubby works from home full time so no issue with his job. Our trip next month I have gotten approval and will work from home for a week, that is an advantage I we have.
Wondering if anyone monitoring this thread either has returned or knows folks who have returned from Cancun in the past coupes days? Like a lot of people I’m sure are, I’m just looking for some first-hand accounts from people who provided proof of neg test or better yet proof of recovery (since that’s what I have) and how smoothly the process went!
We returned on the 10th. Us being from Canada had to provide a negative covid test taken within 72 hours of departure. At the time the resort was not providing the tests so we had to get them done at the private hospital. Once we recived the results via email we had the hotel concierge print them off. At the airline checkin the first thing they asked as for a copy of the negative test. Customs also asked for a copy of the negative test as well. Side story, we cought Covid in the 72 hours before flying home. Had chills, fever, ect on the plane going home. Tested postive same day we got home.
