First of all, no casualties in this fire which is the must important thing. Last Monday in the morning there was a fire at the Gran Mayan which consumed the lobby and the palapas near by totaling 14. The fire was controlled by the H PDC FD however when it comes to palapa grass there is almost absolutely nothing you can do except rebuild. Rooms were not affected so they are open for business as usual. Check in/out is located at the Mayan Palace lobby. Vic --
