Since Temptation is an ‘adult-oriented’ resort, I figure it’s inevitable some posts on the TTR pages of Cancuncare are going to be pushing the boundaries of the not safe for work (NSFW) rules, deliberate or not. I’ll read a thread and think “this is definitely going to get banned in the next few days”. Even if it starts off innocent enough, you can tell when a thread is going to descend into the softer side of adult content, sometimes just by the title. We all know the rule is that content on here has to be safe for work; anything beyond needs to be on Cancunswingers. But…I think there lies the issue. I'm guessing only swingers feel comfortable contributing to the swinger site, whereas everyone is welcome to contribute here. So by default anybody not wanting to identify as or contribute to the swinger site is going to (on purpose or not) continue pushing the boundaries here, regardless of the NSFW site existing (it'll die down again for a while, then someone will inevitably post something NSFW again). Maybe there'd be less deleted threads if the swinger site was just a Cancun NSFW site including - not limited to - swinging?
Sorry I didnt reply to this earlier. I intended to then it had dropped down and I forgot. Yes, I know that can be done. The problem is how do you decide who has access? If you leave it open to all members then anyone can view who registers an account including picture collectors meaning the pics end up elsewhere on the Internet. You also get those weird people who never post anything in public and have no intention of going to TTR, but just scatter gun random members they like the look of with pm's looking for harder pics and sexual chat. If you put a certain post count threshold then you get people posting 2 word replies and gibberish just to inflate their post count to gain access. If you have a vetting procedure for lets say 'trusted members only' then you have to decide the criteria, deal with an initial flood of 400 to 500 then maybe 30 requests a day, manually add each one and explain to those you turned down why. I don't have the time for that. If you do that how do people know it is there to ask to join? I am sure there will be threads in the open sections where people mention 'the secret forum' and others will ask about it and send me scores of messages asking what and where it is, which kind of defeats the object of it being hidden and adds to the workload. I understand that the Cancun Swingers forum is not for everyone, and puts some off from using it who don't want to be labelled but it's the best option imho. I don't really want to move it to another domain to lose the swingers part of the name, and a third forum for a kind of middle ground is too much work. One forum is enough, I barely have time to attend to CancunSwingers plus yet another forum fragments people into different subsets and causes confusion over what is supposed to be where.
We're not and we are signed up, but I hear you. But, Steve's gotta follow his rules, so it'd be "an option." And, the mere signing up does not scar anyone noticeably... anyone can sign up with a pseudonym, so rather than Dynomite (lol) it could be BigDM90Fresh or something. It just struck me that I don't know, for certain, that my proposed "solution" would actually: A) Work; and B) be permissible under the Rules. Steve? I understand that we can put links in, and I think that we can link to offsite pages where naughty bits might be showing (the www.wickedtemptations.com site comes to mind, to show specific outfit examples, etc.) It seems to logically follow that we, those who are of a mind to do so, could take advantage of the resources already in place on the 2 boards and it wouldn't upset the applecart. Those who are for their own reasons resistant to being hooked in any way with the CCS side of things simply wouldn't be able to participate, but everyone else could. It is also my understanding of how the two sites work together that pics hosted on CCS can be posted over here on CCC, but that only folks who are registered on CCS can actually "see" them when they pull up such a CCC page with an imbedded post with linked-CCS pic. How's that for acronym useage, he? Eh? But, I might be wrong on that. I think I made it work that way one time, but I've slept since then.
You know, I really don't like to complain, BUT, there is NEVER enough bacon! I am always wondering where it goes!? Terri
