4:28am UK time, 22.28pm Cancun time

Its confirmed, Tony Blair wins his third term of office with Labour winning 324 seats with many results still to come in.

Reduced majority but probably not as bad as exit polls suggested.

Time for a beer I think

Plenty of beer here Karan, and I'm glad you are happy with the result !

I am really ecstatic, have been listening to 5 Live radio (live over the internet) for the last 6 hours and it's really pumped me up.

You can take the English out of England but you cant take the England out of the English. Just ashamed I didnt vote myself this time

Absentee votes - I am sure it's possible just hasnt been top of our agenda as something to sort out, visas, birth certificates, passports, driving licences, bank accounts, company registrations, car purchase etc has all had to take priority, and over here (as you know) those things are not straightforward.

As Sparkey says he didnt need me anyway but thats always been the case. Never voted in an election where one vote made the difference, but hopefully I'll be set up for next time.

More curried beans will be most welcome, I might even crack open my last can in celebration!
