Outside is fine March to Late Oct,, then things can get cool in the winter.

Yes it does need a ""smell'' make over, but being the tropics and not air conditioned most of the time thats a tall task.

Making it nice enuf to party all night would split up the party into 2 groups. Nice shoes not being big enuf or safe enuf for that large of a crowd.

Most time they shut the music off right after an event to get people to head out to Patyo's ? We like to hang out and play in the cages.

Have they upgraded the patio furniture cushions in patyo's?

For our first trip I had the same question and some wise ol' master of TTR had responded with these words... "remember, the drinking is a marathon... not a sprint. Get yourself to your happy point and just keep the pace steady".

If you follow those words you will do very well. Take some naps when needed but yeah, its like that!!!

I start at 6am (I'm a towel bitch),, I get a coffee at the outdoor table, then sneak inside and steal a shot of Baileys, then go out by the pool and watch the sunrise and maybe get a little nap.
Around 9 the wife wakes me up and we go inside and have breakfast.
They have great orange juice, which you then take to the little bar and add a bit of Vodka.
After breakfast I get into the beer until about 2 am. (tequila shots, ??, i don't count those).
Get 4 hours sleep, then start over.

Did this for 10 days last year,, coming back is brutal detox.

Back before it was TTR and called Blue Bay Getaway, the Tex Mex restaurant area was the outdoor Nice Shoes. It had balcony seating. The cages were at the top of the seating. The evening breezes were wonderful.

I don't think I could drink all day even if I tried! Usually stayed on soft drinks until about noon, then vodka until around 4pm. 4-6pm was nap time. Usually headed for food 6pm, with beer or wine, then wine/vodka/beer at Paty O until about 3am, depending what drink I fancied!

First few days was brutal getting back into the constant drinking, but got into the swing of things by day 5! Just remember to drink plenty of non-acloholic fluids to stave off dehydration.

In the Buffet lounge , at the entrance leading to the center court (Patty'os) there is a small counter/bar. They always seem to have a bottle there.

If you like Bailey's and you want something stronger or theres none available ,,,make a Black Russion then add some of your flavored coffee creamers to it. it is surprisingly good
you may have to experiment. You can cut it with milk or cream.

Black Russian is Tia Maria or Kahlua (2 parts) to one part Vodka.

Ok, thanks! That is good to know. You make it sound like there is noone serving drinks and/or no tended bar in the breakfast/ buffet area, is the case and is it true for all meals in the buffet? Do we need to make/find our own cocktails before we go in?
