Well I hope I meet some members down there in sept. like you. I'll help pay to go out. Seems fair to me. They have to deal with rci, it the least I can do.
Yeah miked, I used to say that the only thing better than owning a timeshare was having a buddy with one but I've been rethinking that philosophy here lately.
I really hope everything works out for you guys. I'd hate for this to interefere with great people making it to TTR.
Yeah all the crap that I hear here kept me away from even listening to the speal. I have yet to see a used one selling either but I doubt i would buy that way at this point either. I LOVE TTR and do want to go every year but I cant see it with the crap they are pulling...and I am sure half of it isnt even posted. I hate when companies have you in a contract or are billing you for something and they can screw you and change crap but the little guy (the customer) rarely has a recourse. Like my cable company had a porn movie on my bill. Says it was watched PPV at 7:30 pm. First off, I am at work until 8. Second off, my kids are all to young for that crap (my oldest wasnt living with me at the time or I could have bought into the fact she may have done it). Third off, I am a single Mom with kids up at that time. Fourth off, there has NEVER been one on my bill before why now? They wouldnt take it off (like 20 bucks, nothing compared to how RCI is screwing members right now but still imagine how much that could add up if they did that once a year to each customer!) and what recourse did I have? They claimed "someone" in my house watched it. NOPE. I looked back and even G was out of town (and has never done something stupid like that at my house either). Had to pay it or they will turn me off. Ok. They have you by the ass and it isnt fair. Back to the issue...Thanks for the offer of letting me go with if we are together there! When are you going back next?
Just food for thought - I've seen numerous TTR'ers w/ gold wrist bands (Timeshare owners?), but a hell of a lot more TTR repeat offenders still w/ the red bands!! We've been thru the Timeshare spiel but no more. Might cost more but a Hell of a lot less stressful!! :doh:
If we had it to do over we wouldn't buy into it . It's not worth all the hassle and charges they charge for nothing in return . I am trying to work out a deal so that we can go the 1st week of Sept. hopefully Chris can come through for us . If not we have a timeshare for sale :wink: He has sent our proposal to his vice-president for review so hopefully we will be there Sept.1st-8th and would love to share in the cost of the yacht
I have another couple that will be going with us, so if you want to go out we will help on the cost. we will be there sept 5-14
