Last year Expedia was 3100 for 10 days 9 nights with air. This year through Cheaptickets it was 2500 for same trip same dates as last year diffrent airline though.
I guess this might sound a little slow, but do U check for package prices (air, hotel, transfers-AI) or do U usually book the hotel room separate from the airline tickets and also the transfers ? We have always travel to Cancun by using packages (hotel, flight and transfer) and found it is convenient and less worries. But never looked at all of these separate and then priced them out to see what would be best...
We always book it all separate as we usually go somewhere else after a week at TTR to wind down n detox a bit before heading home . Doing it separate seems to always be less expensive .
We had been looking back and forth at room prices for weeks at different sites and everything just kept going up every week and we finally had to pull the trigger and for the first time went with alpharooms
I found that air prices were really low about two months ago. As fuel prices have risen, airfare has too. With summer quickly approaching and travel season heating u; it's not going to get any cheaper, for sure!
We find the same issues, especially with summer trips. I usually get the best deal through either Alpharooms or Cheap tickets. I check often and find the prices on both sites change throughout the week up and down which is annoying.
We hate the inflation rates, last year we booked thru Orbitz and it was such a sweet deal but after giving the agent my card number I asked her so its in Canadian dollar, shes like no its in American dollar and there went my TTR vacation to cancellation...thanks to expedia.ca we got even cheaper Canadian rates. This year we booked with expedia as well and very much satisfied. Haven't seen cheaper rates than what we booked yet.
Very true. Last NYE we paid $800 each including airfare. Friends we met there paid $2600 each. Crazy.
