To the OP your post almost seems antagonistic. Questioning the fun factor and loyalty, devotion and culture of us Diehards. you state your travel history as tho you are a man of the world and have seen it all. but then you state you don't want grief over your stated attitude. TTR is a place unlike any other resort. us disciples know it, luv it, treasure it and protect it. your post (along with some of your other ones) seems to be poking the bear. You and your crew will be there at a great time. Most of the crowd are seasoned vets and know each other well. in order for you to fit in you need to tone it down a notch or two. Follow the lead of the Vets. afterall it is their house and they set the tone and vibe. find your groove after observing and learning. Don't think U are the party TTR was waiting for. Too often ppl come to the rsort (in a group) thinking they are goin to show everyone "How to party". It rarely turns out that way. (They come on too strong and end up shunned) Don't be those ppl. Be respectful and easy goin.
It's not hype... TTR is a place that anyone can go and do things you wouldn't even consider doing at home. The people that are on CC and stay on CC love the place.. if they don't they don't come back to CC or they stay for awhile and try and provoke people who do love the place, eventually the provoker gets board or gets kicked off. (in regards to you aren't allowed to say anything resembling any negativity without being slammed) What frustrates many of us that have been to TTR many times is when people that have never been to TTR, complain or have this attitude about things before they even get there. You say that you've been to 20 other resorts, have you ever seen anything like this... as in CC.. how many of these resorts have a site that if full of information about the resort.. This isn't Trip Advisor this is a place that people who love TTR come to share what happened on their trip how much fun they had, this site gives us the chance to find out who else will be there the same time and many of us CC users have met friends for life, it give so much information for newbies, they just have to read.. use the search button you can pretty much find anything about the place... It is a life changing place, its a friendly happy place... So yes some of us TTR addicts defend it when someone posts about something they don't know nothing about. So have have fun in April might even see you there... we will start planning after this trip.. Cheers LOL should of read Marshe's post first... he says it best

To th OP: It is that much fun, to me anyways. This is a place where the party comes to you rather than having to go out to the clubs etc. Sure it's mostly couples, but that's the case anywhere. If you or your buddies are looking to hook up just realize that the pool of available ladies is pretty small. otherwise go and have fun, talk to people and get involved.

you will have a blast if you are friendly and outgoing. it is a place unlike any other. i think we have good memories from there...still kinda foggy from our november trip. it really is a fantastic place and looking forward to february.
