Friends on here went to Breathless DR. And said the service from the "Islanders" made the resort experience terrible, I think they said they would not be going back to DR or DR TTR...
We went to BR DR and had a blast and thought service was better than Temptation. We enjoy the DR over Mexico Cancun/Riviera Maya any day. We write this as we are at a resort in Riviera Maya.
I think it will be a long wait until anyone has to worry about the service at TTR Dominican... I'm no even sure the makeover at TTR Cancun is done, or ever will be.
While I don't doubt your friends experience, we have traveled to Punta Cana on three separate occasions and each time the service has been great and the resorts very very good. We are by no means experts on the DR but always have a good time there. The problem is nightlife! There is none to speak of. That's why I think a TTR in the DR would do well.
We enjoy the DR as well. Been to the Majestic, Royalton and Grand Bahia. All were very good but none had much of a sexy vibe or nightlife. My wife loves to go topless on the beach and once found a quiet corner to do so in case her raised eyebrows. It was as if she opened the flood gates because once other ladies saw a sexy girl topless others moved closer to do the same. Wanted company I guess or at least not feel all alone. LOL
LOL we were at Temptation for a week and could never figure out on which side to push the "door" or what was behind each "door". Same with the blinds/lights/AC panel... up/down? on/off? Fahrenheit/Celsius?
No kidding, the remodeled rooms by the quiet pool were a guessing game of how to open and what was behind each door.. was funny the first few times, then we kinda got pissy with it... lol.. some people cant understand why some of us had problems with our closet door.... they were not partying or having as much fun as us obviously.... LMaO
