Uh oh...can you say Hurricane Juan?! I am not sure if you are familiar with what it did to our city, Halifax, Nova Scotia roughly a decade ago. You may want to Google it. We are as unprepared for major hurricanes as Florida is for snow. Yet it can happen. And has.

 

Forecast continues to favor a northward track, but acknowledges that at least one model predicts a more westerly track; still, nothing that would do much more than give us a little extra wind and rain, just we have/had last night and early this AM.

 

V, I can't imagine how excited you would be if we actually had a hurricane coming!

 

It was 14 years and a day from when MITCH formed and then devasteted Honduras. Glad it only glazed the YUC!

 

Pretty excited, all right.

Looks like the storm has just commenced its predicted northward movement, restoring faith in science.
