dont even think about another service USA Transfers is the only route to go here there are no others worth calling rob
rdubnpk Does any one else find themselves wishing certain people had smaller hands like the guy in the Burger King commercial??
Funny story....2 weeks ago. We got off plane, got to shuttle bus. we were first ones, noticed on the clipboard the guy was holding that we were the only ones for TTR, aand TTR was the last stop for the coach to make. Decided to sign off on the sheet, refusing the shuttle and grab a cab. Except turns out he cab is $60.00 to TTR and no neogotiation is allowed. Must've asked 20 cabbies as we coverd the entire airport, and they all said $60. Not gonna pay that. So....knowing that we prolly have missed the shuttle, and being way too principled, we hit the road dragging our suitcases, at 10:30 a.m. I figured we'd make it to the resort by 2 p.m.We must've walked 3/4 of an hour down busy roads (with no sidewalks). It was way tooo late to turn around. All during our hike we were muttering that we should've pre-arranged with USA Transfers as we have in the past. DUH! They are great to deal with. The ending of our anecdote was 2 guys in a van took pity on us stupid gringo's and stopped and ageed to take us to Temptation for $15.00. I was very leary of them at first and wasn't sure what we were in for. We got lucky! They were good guys, but questioned us why we didn't have transportation and didn't quite understand our explanation. Guess they've never stayed at TTR and can't relate to the anticiaption of having to get there NOW.
yeah that is crap shoot sometimes, if they take the boulevard past the hotels your the last one to get off, if they go via the down town way , your one of the firsts, each year seems to be different for me...
That my friend is a male thing and we have all done that in some form. Then later you laugh and say I was so stubborn and stupid. It's ok, yet let's just say we all have learned some lessons and apologized to the female a lot.:sauer024::aktion060::huh::aktion051::aktion034:
Another trick is as the driver is loading your luggage show him a $20 palmed in your hand and ask him if her would do TTR first? The other passengers in the van won't know, the dispacher won't know, and for $20 the driver will head to TTR first. If he doesn't then you look at him and shake your head and put the 20 back in your pocket. Never had a driver turn me down yet. Jamie
